Life is Full of Surprises( Harry Potter love story) Part 33

The next morning at breakfast you got all your schedule and it was the same as it always was, you had all your classes with 3rd years except for Potions and Care of Magical Creatures which was with the 4th years. " You're taking Ancient Runes right?" Ginny asked. " Yeah of course we purposely both signed up for the class." you laughed. You and Ginny were back to normal it was like the little fight that happened last night never took place. Your first class was Charms with the Ravenclaws so you said goodbye to Harry, Ron and Hermione and you and Ginny head off to class.

After an uneventful Charms lesson you said good bye to Ginny and headed to Care of Magical Creatures with Hagrid. You found Harry, Ron, and Hermione and chatted with them until class started. Hagrid introduced some creatures named Blast-Ended Skrewts. To you they looked a lot like giant lobsters that bite, sting, and propel themselves by blasting from one end. You really tired to asked interested, to make Hargid feel good about his lesson, but you couldn’t figure out there anything on this creature was and there really wasn’t any purpose to keeping the creatures a live. Draco spent most of the class complaining, but after a few glares from you he stopped. When class was over you were ready for lunch. " Hagrid that was a great lesson! It’s was really interesting!" You said with a smile. He smiled back looking very proud and continued to talk to Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

At lunch you sat an talked with Ginny about classes and then headed to Ancient Runes. It was actually a really interesting class. Thank you Hermione for suggesting it! It would have been a perfect class except for the amount of homework given. You spent the rest of the time before dinner in the library doing homework with Ginny. It was times like these that really made you appreciate your friendship with Ginny. The fact that you could sit there silently and still manage to start cracking up randomly, it was like you could read each other’s mind. " I’m going down to dinner, are you coming?" Ginny asked. "Yeah I’ll be a down in a little bit I just want to finish this up and then I’ll be right there."

After finishing your work you dropped your books back off in your dorm and headed for the Great Hall. As you walked towards the door you saw Harry walking towards you looking mad and next thing you knew, you fell to the floor and everything went black.


You woke up in the hospital wing 15 minutes later. You sat up in your bed, you head pounding and surrounded by Ginny, Harry, Hermione, and Ron. " Hey how are you feeling?" Ginny asked. " Fine my head just hurts like crazy." You said massaging your temples. " So what happened?" You asked. They continued to explain how at dinner Draco read an article about Mr. Weasley and then continued to insult him. Harry being who he was stood up to him and insulted Draco’s mum. Which resulted in Draco trying to curse Harry but missed and hit you. Supposedly the best part was when Professor Moody came in and turned Draco into a ferret for trying to curse his opponent with his back turned. You were actually really disappointed that you missed it. A couple minutes later Madame Pomfrey released you and you walked back to the common room. " I told you so..." Ginny said quietly on the walk back. " What did you say?" You asked. " I told you so. I told you he was going to hurt you one way or another." Ginny said. You had nothing to say. She was right in a way, but he didn’t mean to hurt you, but he did mean to hurt Harry, and he was being mean to Ron. And he promised he would stop. You were mad at him there was no question about that, but that there was something about Ginny saying 'I told you so' made you want to prove her wrong. When you got back to the common room you finished your work and went straight to sleep.


Snape was being especially terrible this year, which was making the class even less enjoyable. And the fact that Draco was in it wasn’t helping either. The day finally came for your first Defense Against the Dark Arts Class. You were really excited people that had already had it said it was pretty interesting. You took your seat next to Ginny and waited for Professor Moody. He hobbled into the classroom and told everyone to put their books away. With confused looks on their faces everyone obeyed. He continued to explain that this year he was going to be teaching us about curses. You gave Ginny a questioning look and then turned back to Professor Moody. He continued to lecture the rest of the period and then dismissed the class. “ Well that was interesting.” Ginny said and you nodded in response.

Later that day in the common room, you were working on homework with Ginny and Harry and Ron were making up ridiculous things for the Divination class. Hermione came in with a box of pins that all said S.P.E.W on them. “ What’s Spew?” Ron asked. “ It’s not spew, it S.P.E.W, Society for the Protection of Elfish Welfare.” Hermione corrected. “ Is this all about the house-elf thing in the kitchen?” You asked. Hermione didn’t answer. “ I really want you guys to all join the club with me. It could really help.” Hermione said encouragingly. “ Oh well... Umm... I’m really tired so I’m going to bed I’ll see you all in the morning.” You said wanting to get out of it. “ Yeah me too.” Ginny said following you up to the dorm. You got ready for bed not really sure what else to do and decided to try and fall asleep, which was a harder task than you thought it would be.

Classes went on as usual, getting harder as the year went on. You still weren’t talking to Draco even though he had tried many times and sent you several letters. As it reached October posters started to go up around the school saying that the other school would be arriving on October 30th. “ Lovely, the day before my birthday.”
October 30th came before you knew it and the school was excitedly lined up waiting for the other schools to arrive. Beauxbatons arrived by flying carriage and Durmstrang by boat. As the students entered someone caught your eye. He was tall with brown hair and unmistakeable bright blue eyes. Oh my god... it’s that guy Dave. This couldn’t be a coincidence. First all the noisy questions at the diner, feeling like you had been followed for weeks, and then seeing him at the world cup. What are the chances?! You pushed it to the back of your head trying not to think about it and continued on to the great hall.

After dinner when you were heading back to the common room you ran into someone. “ Oh hey what a coincidence. No wonder you wouldn’t tell me what school you go to” Dave laughed. You laughed nervously “ Yeah.” “ Where are you going?” He asked. “Back to my common room.” “ Oh well maybe we could like hang out sometime or something, get to know each other better. What about now?” He asked. There was something off about his question and it made you nervous. “ Uhh sorry I can’t I have some... stuff to get done.” and with that you walked away. You could feel his hot stare on your back and it sent shivers down your spin. That guy really gave you the creeps. What ever you had to do you were going to stay far, far away from him.
