Chapter 1

Narrative poem

by: carolyn
It ended today, here
I said goodbye to all my fears
I have tried so hard through all of my years
now all I have is tears

suddenly everything turned real
but someone told me these wounds will heal
its time to stand up and not to kneel
I know now this is how it feels.

Your gone now, you didn't say goodbye
but you left me knowing it wasn't a lie
You had breathed your last sigh
I just wanted to know why.

One day has passed
Its going by so fast
your memory will always last
you will be part of my past

I'm starting to move on
I always notice that your gone
the days are seeming to get long
things still seem all wrong

I can still feel the pain
But I think I am sane
Your death was not done in vain
your love will remain.
