Subject 13
Chloe. Known as Subject 13. She escaped from the horrible prison she was held captive, and now, she has some pretty weird things going on. Like what were the scientist doing? Why were they doing it? And, why does Chloe have powers?
(*NOTE THERE WILL BE A CHARACTER PICTURE EACH CHAPTER)
Chapter 1
Escape
I huffed out a breath. I had just out ran the security, and the scientist. Ha, look at that. A girl running out a grown up that's twice her size. Pathetic. I didn't look back, I never did. And I never would.
Okay, if your running for your life, or mostly running away from evil scientist, (like me), rule number one is: you never looked back. Or more like you never look back or something like that. It's like the past, you can never go back, you can only go forward. Like sharks, they have to keep moving forward, or they'll die. I know it sounds morbid, but it's true, look it up if you don't believe me.
My feet pound the hard concrete street as I ran. I have no clue or idea where I'm am, but I know it's a small town or something like that. 'Cause where else are the scientist going to do their experiments?
In, out, in, out. I thought.
I was trying to get my breathing under control, so I can focus what I need to do next. After I've escaped the lab or prison or hell-o hole or whatever that thing was, I need to figure out what I need to do next. And that's the hardest part of the plan. Figuring out what to do next after what you've done. I aren't really making any sense am I? Well if you understand, good job! If you don't, then never mind, don't worry about it. (I'm not calling you dumb or anything.)
A white van pulled up.
"Get in!" The driver yelled.
Should I listen to him? Should I trust him? Should I get into the car? What if he's one of them? What if they sent him to get me?
More and more questions began to swim into my mind. There were a lot of "what if's" and "should i?" stuff. Just to let you know.
So instead, I began running again.
I am subject 13. But I'm known as Chloe. (I gave myself that name.) I am seventeen years old. (or that's what someone told me.) I am tall, and lean. I have blonde hair and blue eyes. I have no friends (except if you call the people at the lab friends) or family. I'm all alone with no one.
I was created by a man named James Kolvsi, a German scientist, who likes to do hybrid experiments on humans or whatever. The lab I was held at is called Bradly's Research Lab. Yeah, I know, it sounds harmless, right? Well it's not if you haven't been following me.
The Bradly's Research Lab is some sort of government thingy. I don't know, but it's ultra top-secret experiment/lab thingy. And there are things in there they create and it's top secret and confidential and stuff. But the things they do to the experiments, are TORTURE.
They say that they create the "experiments" for a reason. And I have no idea what my reasons is, but, I think it's to destroy or expose the Bradly's Research Lab.
That's what I think.
"Get in the car!" the guy yelled at me again.
NO!
"No!" I yelled back and kept on running.
I turned a corner and went into an alley of an apartment, and climbed the fire escape. I heard car tires screeching at their stopping point.
Even though I may have lived in a research lab for like seventeen years or so, I know what a neighbor hood, streets, alleys, stores, and other stuff look like. I wasn't totally isolated.
When I finally got to the roof top of the apartment building, I walked towards the edge of the top and peered down. It's a long way to fall, but at least no one can get to me. I was safe.
"Chloe." a deep voice said.
For now.
