Love Vs. What's Right (HP love story)

I was on platform 9 3/4 with my dressrobes on already. My parents were very excited when I got the letter accepting me to Hogwarts. I had mixed feelings about this, I didn't want to get sorted into Hufflepuff because that's where all the talentless kids go. My thoughts were interrupted when the conductor called all students onboard. I definitely didn't want to leave Slick, my pet python, all alone so I wrapped him around my neck and got on board being pushed by loads of other kids.
I turned around for one last look at my parents and of course they were busy with paperwork from the Ministry of Magic.
"Bye Mom, bye Dad!" I called out. And I didn't hear anything called back to me. I got in the train wandering hopelessly looking for a place to sit down. All of the compartments were full. And all of the kids gave me a repulsive lookwhen they saw Slick.Then a kid with toxic green eyes and jet black hair offered a seat next to another boy with radiant red hair.
"Hey, want to sit with us?",he said.
"Umm, ok sure, it's not like I have anywhere else to sit." I said. As I sat down the kid said, "Hi I'm-" and was cut off by a boy with gorgeous blond hair.
"You really don't want to sit here do you? Come with me and my friends Crabbe and Goyle, the pure bloods. Unless you want to sit with blood traitor Weasly and his new friend" I was too mesmerized to say anything for a while until I spit out the first thing I said,"I'll sit here thanks" and regretted it immediately after it flew off my lips.
"Fine then", he said, "Just make sure you get put in Slytherin, you're perfect material for Slytherin" and as he left I could've sworn he winked at me. I didn't even ask his name, I didn't even realize that the boy in front of me introduced himself.
"Hi I'm Harry, Harry Potter"
"Huh?" I said.
"Umm I'm Harry Potter"
"Oh sorry, I'm Ignis Blackwidow"
"And I'm Ron Weasley" said the kid with the red hair, "And can I ask about the umm....snake, it won't eat Scabbers right?" he said looking frightened.
"Oh no, Slick is friendly...when I want him to be" I said stroking Slick.
"Ugh, I hate Malfoy" said Ron
"Well he doesn't seem like much of a charmer" said Harry. They both turned to me as if I was supposed to think horribly of him. Then I quickly changed the subject.
"Sooo, what house do you guys want to be in?"
"I want to be in Gryfindor, my parent were in Gryfindor. All I hope though is that I'm not in Slytherin."said Harry.
"I wanna be in Gryfindor too. My whole family's in Gryfindor"said Ron.
"My whole family's been in Hufflepuff but I wanna be in Slytherin." I said. They looked at me in shock, like I'd like just eaten Slick. As they were about to say something, a girl with extrordinarily puffy hair came in and said,"You should really put on your dress robes we're almost at Hogwarts."
"Stop nagging us!" said Ron. The girl gave Ron a glare and looked at me with my robes on.
"Finally! Someone intelligent around here!" she said as she left the compartment. As Harry and Ron shared chocolate frogs the train stopped.
"Yes! We're here!" said Harry. As they got out Harry said to me," Are you coming?" I told him," I just gotta....do something first"
"Uhh ok..." said Ron. I waited a while then went off to look for the Malfoy kid. I stayed with the first years but in the back. I finally caught Malfoy's eye and he smirked at me, even though it was hard to see, he seemed to stand out from everyone. As everyone was getting onto a boat, I quickly walked over to Malfoy, but clumsy me I tripped over my own two feet. I fell flat on my face and I heard a roar of laughter, I wished I could just sink into the ground. Then a gentle hand helped me get back up and it made me feel like a princess(which is very hard to do) It was Malfoy. The dirt of my hands seem to slip away because my hands were sweating so much. My heart skipped a beat, then another beat, then another. I bit my lip then looked away... I felt like such a...girl!
"Would you like to be on the same boat as me?" said Malfoy. I thought out my words wisely this time and said,"Of course!" He lead me towards the boat and we talked the whole boat ride to Hogwarts. Once, just once, I turned around and saw Harry, and his eyes looked envious. I felt horrible for a split second, until I saw who I chose to be with.
As we got off the boat, Malfoy said, "You know what? We're on first-name basis now, call me Draco. What's your name?"
"Ignis, and doesn't Draco mean dragon in Latin?"
"Yeah, it does. And doesn't Ignis mean fire in Latin?"
"Yeah, it does..." I said.
We went into the Great Hall and everyone was in awe, including me. We were all put in line as we waited to take a "test". I wasn't nervous since my parents made me practice spells ALL summer. Then an old black, and battered hat came flying in and sang a little song about all the houses, I didnt pay attention to it until he mentioned Slytherin, which is were Draco lit up, too. It wasn't long till it was my turn to put on the Sorting hat since my surname is BlackWidow. I sat on the stool shivering like a maniac.
"Hmm, I see, very intelligent. But a bit too timid for Gryfindor. Good heart, too, and your family is in Hufflepuff."
"Noo! Not in Hufflepuff!! Those untalented doormats! I hate Hufflepuff!"
"If you feel so strongly against Hufflepuff, then I won't place you there. Highly ambitious I see, and sly, too. And a bit cunning! You shall be placed in SLYTHERIN!!!!!"
I was gleaming inside and out! I was jumping, literally jumping and I took a seat next to a Slytherin and they greeted me. I waited until Draco was sorted and held my breath.... "Please be in Slytherin!" I whispered to myself.
"SLYTHERIN!!" said the Sorting hat. Draco came towards me smiling and without realizing I pushed someone else off their seat so Draco can have it. Hey, all is fair in love and war right.... Even if your not really competing with anyone.
After everyone was sorted we had an amazing and magical dinner, I became good friends with Crabbe and Goyle and surprisingly, they were funny! Really funny actually. Then, after dinner, the Prefects lead everyone to their dormitories. We went through a maze of turning stairs and were greeted by various paintings. We finally reached a damp stone wall and the Slytherin Prefect said the new password,"Salazar"
As I went inside I caught Harry's eyes as the Gryfindor students passed by us. His eyes seemed longing, like a puppy on te street. I couldn't tear away until Draco grabbed my hand and pulled me toward the dark underground room. But somehow, my heart felt cold even though I've gotten what I wanted. Even though I sat with Draco in the Common Room almost all night talking, laughing, I felt I had hurt someone. And I needed to fix it.
