For everyone that is moving their stories to another website...I WOULD READ THIS!!
Chapter 1
I did some research :P
So did anyone else consider that quibblo is not the only website that takes ownership for everything on the website or has legal right to use anything you post?
Well..quibblo isn't!! I have checked every writing website that I can think of and everyone of them falls under one of those two categories..
Here are some examples and a quote from their terms:
Wattpad.com: "...However, by submitting User Submissions to Wattpad.com, you hereby grant Wattpad.com a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and perform the User Submissions in connection with the Wattpad.com Website and its affiliates. You also hereby waive any moral rights you may have in your User Submissions and grant each user of the Wattpad.com Website a non-exclusive license to access your User Submissions through the Website..."
Quizilla.teenick.com: "..All site software, design, text, images, photographs, illustrations, audio clips, video clips, artwork, graphic material, or other copyrightable elements, and the selection and arrangements thereof, and trademarks, service marks and trade names (the 'Material') are the property of QUIZILLA.TEENNICK.COM and/or its subsidiaries, affiliates, assigns, licensors or other respective owners and are protected, without limitation, pursuant to U.S. and foreign copyright and trademark laws..."
Mibba.com: "...you agree that the webmaster, administrators and moderators of the site have the right to use/edit/delete/openly display any information that was submitted and publicly revealed by the site users, without their consent. This includes editing of message board posts, as well as stories, reviews, comments, profile information and news submissions..."
And it's not just writing websites that have this! Whereever you want to go for your stories, that website will probably have something like this to it.
You might as well stay on quibblo!

EXACTLY!
That's why everyone would be better off just copying their stories on Microsoft Word!

Thanks. That's good to know . Although, I only have one story on here, it's still good so I'll stay away from those sites.
Wow
I just signed up for Wattpad... I feel bad now.
Should I delete my account?
You don't have to...You can still use it if you want more feedback for your stories.
No, Wattpad gives you your own copyright, if you chose 'All Rights Reserved' when you make your story.
Copied and pasted from the Wattpad terms:
"For clarity, you retain all of your ownership rights in your User Submissions."
Okay sure :)
Oh okay I'll make sure I click that option before I post any of my stories
