Nothing Else Matters (Michael Jackson Love Story)

To say that vampires don't exist would be saying that I don't exist. I am living proof. As are others.
We were a discreet race. Humans barely every knew our existance. And we liked it that way. And it has been that way since the beginning of our race as well as the human race.
But now, all that has changed. The humans wage war on us and any other inhuman.
Oh yes, there is more than just vampires.
There are the wolves. Humans that were born during the full moon and placed with a curse once they reached their twentieth year of their life.
There are demons too. Unlike the human legends, you can kill a demon. It is near impossible, but if you can catch them, you can kill them. They are incredibly fast and can disappear in a blink of ones eye. It's a lot like trying to catch a leprechaun. Hard but never impossible.
The humans wage war on all inhumans.......well.....except for the wolves. Those big suck-ups take pity on the humans. The humans only agreed to ally with them because of the strength the wolves provided. And they have killed many of us, making the vampire to stay in the buildings or underground.
The demons, however, side with no one. They have always craved world domination. Ever since the beginning of the human race.

"Take Kate with you. She is our strongest warrior." I heard Jared say to someone.
I dont think any one despised humans as much as I. They have ruined everything for us. We once lived in peace, taking only what we need to survive. Well......most of us. Some clans splurge on human blood, putting cities in panic.
The humans call us blood drinking demons. I resent that. I am not a demon. I would never stoop so low.
"Kate." I heard Jason call my name.
I walked towards him.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"More humans have piled into the city. You and I are going to track their movements." Jason said.
"What?" I stared at him. "Just the two of us? Are you insane? Who's idea was this, Jared's?"
"No...um....actually.....mine." Jason replied. "Besides, if anything goes wrong.." he held up a cell phone.
Jason was usually smart, but he didn't know one thing in strategy. This was one of his dumbest ideas yet. If there were wolves with the group, which I knew they were, then a wolf would spot us within seconds. But if Jared approved it, there was no backing out of this.
"So your coming?" Jason asked smiling, showing the two sharp incisors.
I shook my head.
"Someone has to look after your stupid self." I said rolling my bright violet eyes. "Lets go."
