Writing stories on here sucks if you don't have many friends. Plus, those snobs who can't take constructive criticism and tells you it's a readers misinterpretation just downcasts you.

I agree. The thing is, most people who critique stories only do so because they have experience. If you aren't comfortable getting your story criticized, don't post it, ya know?

YES! I'm glad at least two of you agree. Especially the criticism. I mean, this girl comes barging in on my profile and asks me to review her story (She said she'll review mine, but I really wanted CC, not praise or any shizzes like those.). Then I ask her a bunch of questions for her character, mostly so she could put her shoes in it, then here comes the holy CC. She told me 'You just can't understand. It's your fault, really.'Aren't stories meant for readers to understand, not just the author?

I agree, I honestly don't get constructive criticism but I don't give it eather. I understand if someone doesn't capitalize or if they switch letters in a word (it's the computer sometimes that happens) as long as I can tell what they are trying to say.

if you dont like writing just because others dont like what you write or not many read what you write, you whouldnt be writing in the first place. you should only write because you want to, because you like to. and as for constructive critism, people who give it are just trying to help, but they do have to be sure they be polite about how they say what they say...

... Are you saying that I seem impolite enough not to give CC? After I give them the much obliged help they need, I praise the thing that I like. And that's about this girl who asks me to review it. Does 'review' mean like everything the author writes? I think not. Well, for me at least, review means help them with their writing or some other things they really don't like. Plus, I can't help it, I love pointing out mistakes. But I like CC the best, since they help my writing.

OMG, I know what you mean BlackStar. Someone did the same thing too me, and I tried to tell them that when you review someones story, you are telling them what can be fixed and what you think. Telling them that it is awesome, when it's not isn't good.
