Chapter 1
Excerpt from Wonderful Tonight by Pattie Boyd
The 1973 New Year's Eve party was at Ringo's, and George, Terry and I were all ready to go when I realized I had left something behind. I dashed upstairs to the bathroom- and saw the car lights disappearing into the night. They'd gone without me. I got into my car and drove towards Ringo's, but there was a thick fog arond Ascot and so much traffic that no one could see a thing and we hardly moved.
Suddenly, all the cars stopped because it was midnight and everyone got out of their cars to wish each other a happy new year- complete strangers were hugging each other.
When I finally arrived, George said, "Let's have a divorce this year."
On our wedding anniversary, January 21, 1974, I wrote in my diary, "Wedding anniversary. Joke!"
Ringo realized things were bad between George and me and offered me a job, which helped me take my mind off my problems. He was playing Merlin the Magician in a musical comedy with Harry Nilsson called Son of Dracula. He asked me to do still shots.
At home, the madness continued. Until one day, George, Chris O'Dell, and I went to Ringo's house, where George , in front of everyone, proceeded to tell Ringo that he was in love with his wife. Ringo worked himself up into a terrible state and went about saying, "Nothing is real, nothing is real." I was furious.
I went straight out and dyed my hair red.

I think you mean 1974, not 1947. Lol Pattie was only 2 in Jan. 1947!!
But wow. I feel bad for Pattie.
I knew what happened (i only got to read a sample of Wonderful Tonight), but not in detail, after reading it makes me want to scream out, "GEORGE, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!?" lol
THe second excerpt is hilarious!! I'm exactly like that without my glasses, too!! xD
Whoops! Lol! I'll fix it!
And I know right. :( I love Georgie, but that was insane. Poor Pattie. And poor Ringo! :(
And ik, I couldn't stop laughing! xD
