You're always on my mind and everywhere I go. I wish you knew the way I feel, then I wouldn't have to hide these feelings anymore. You would finally know the truth. But that wont happen.

Chapter 1

My Usual Morning

My name is Anna. I'm 16 years old and I live in New Jersey. I've got light blue eyes, dirty blond hair that falls passed my shoulders in a mess of curls, I'm 5 foot 5 inches and I weigh 125 lbs. My clothing style is usually skinny jeans and band t-shirts with a vintage flare. Of course, my parents think what I wear is odd, but they let me express myself and I'm proud of that. I live with my parents and my annoying little sister, whom I still love, Kaitlyn. She's 11 and a half. She's got dirty blond hair and light blue eyes just like me, only she likes to put diffrent colors in her hair, like pink, green, blue and purple. I think it's weird, but she's just expressing herself, like me.

I suppose I should get to the story since that's what you're all waiting for. So, here it goes.

*****************

I woke up, 6 AM is what my alarm clock said. I rolled out of bed and tousled my hair, heading into the bathroom across the hall from my room. I stepped in and closed the door, stripping of my clothes and stepping into the shower. I stayed in the shower for 15 minutes, cleaning up, and stepped out, wrapping a clean towel around my body. I walked across the hall, back to my room, and got dressed in black skinny jeans, a Paramore band t-shirt and red All Star converse. Next did my make up and then headed down stairs, into the kitchen with wet hair in the process of drying.

"Good morning Anna," Mom spoke as I stepped in. She looked up at me from the cutting board she was using to cut fruit on.

"Morning," I said back and walked over to the fridge. I grabbed a water bottle from the door and opened it, taking a sip.

"Aren't you going to eat any breakfast?" Mom asked, looking sad.

"I really don't have time," I explained. She nodded and looked away. I bit my lip. Why was she doing this to me? I sighed. "But I guess I can have some fruit." She looked back at me and smiled. I walked over to the counter and popped a few pieces of fruit in my mouth.

"Good morning," I turned and saw Dad walk in, wearing a black dress suit. I smiled.

"Morning Dad," He came over and tousled my wet curls. I shook my head, fixing them.

"Where's Kaitlyn?" Mom asked Dad. He looked at her, shrugging.

"I'll go find her," I said and ran back over to the stairs. I got up to Kaitlyn's room and knocked on her door. She didn't answer. I opened the door and was instantly met by the sound of loud rock music. "Oh my gosh! What are you doing?!" I asked, a horrifed expression on my face. Kaitlyn was cutting her hair. She looked at me, a blank look on her face.

"It's my hair, I can do whatever I want with it." she said and turned back to cutting it. It was now short enough to just fall past her chin. I groaned and leaned against her door frame.

"Ok, well, you're gonna be late for school if you don't hurry it up." she nodded. "Oh, and Mom's got breakfast ready." I told her and walked away, heading back downstairs. I walked into the kitchen and Mom and Dad both looked at me.

"Well?" Mom asked.

"Uh... Kaitlyn is... in the process of changing her image. Don't freak when she comes down, ok?" I said and she both nodded. I nodded back and headed over to the front door. I grabbed my backpack, slung it over my shoulder, grabbed my phone, shoving it in my front pocket and my iPod, putting it in my backpack.

I heard Kaitlyn coming down the stairs. I looked at her and watched her go into the kitchen. I bit my lip and squinted, waiting for it.

"Oh my goodness! Kaitlyn, what have you done to your hair?!" Mom freaked. I opened the door and headed outside quickly. I hopped on my bike and sped off to the one place I didn't have to deal with this: School.
