To all of my wiccan sisters out there: Does anyone else ever get insanely mad when they hear people refer to bad people as 'witches' or assosciate wiccans with grotesque crones in pointy hats?!

Yeah, I mean, seriously? Someone says "witch" and they instantly think whoever it is is an evil hag. Come on. Wiccans should get more respect. It was the original world religion, people!

Yes! My mother, when i expressed my interest in the wicca religion, said they were evil. My stepsister was wiccan, but not really. She whorshipped the devil and didn't even know the witches reede. She didn't know the three fold law or the power of three or magick. She only liked blood and the devil, which is not Wicca, so my mother believes we are all evil. I am a witch and i have to hide my religion from her or she'll send me to England to catholic boarding school.

i get so frutrated when people think we are all just old crones or even when they think we're crazy and just making it up because they don't know any better. i know the wiccan rede even though it is hard to remember and i believe there is no such thing as the devil. it's a fictional character made by christians in the form of our god. sometimes i get so annoyed with them just for being christian. i would kill myself before i went to catholic school, i feel sorry for you i_will_write_forever.
