The 17th Edition First Amendment is due for release July 2011. Throughout the history of BS7671 there have been amendments added to most editions. The amendments reflect improvements within the industry and can range from advancements in technology to safer practices. This first amendment to the 17th edition will be designated BS7671:2008(2011) and results from the improvement of equipment that could cause problems due to overvoltage in systems.
