Hypothetical Situation

Rattus Choki is my male black berkshire rat. So for his coat color, we give him a genetic symbol of -aa-. A friend from Quezon City gave me one of his female rats, Rattus Gaga, which has a crazy agouti coat; he told me that her parents were also both agouti, so we give her a genetic symbol of -AA-. From what I remember, dominant traits are represented by uppercase letters; the opposite is represented by lowercase letters.

If Rattus Gaga’s parents were both agouti, giving her a genetic constitution of -AA- and not -Aa-, what do we call this?

Choki versus Gaga, black versus agouti, -aa- versus -AA-. Given the hypothetical situation above, the color of 100% of the offspring would be:

What do we call the -agouti- physical appearance of Rattus Gaga?

But wait! If Choki has a recessive gene (black) and Gaga has a dominant gene (agouti)… The offspring must have both dominant and recessive gene! What do we call this offspring with -Aa- gene then?

What do we call the symbol -aa- which represents the genetic constitution of Rattus Choki?
