The Test.

Kaeru opened her eyes.
One was green, one was blue.
She had sharp pupils like a cat's as light platinum blonde wavy hair sometimes would fall over them.
She had rosey little cheeks and the strangest outfit, a frog costume.
A little light green full body frog costume.
They almost looked like footie pajamas, with a little hood attached with two big googly eyes on top.
Kaeru rubbed her eye with her tiny pale hands, a few bubbles coming out her mouth.
She swam to the surface from her tiny pond where she stayed and hopped out the water.
It never rained here, it was never sunny, or cold, or hot.
Kaeru's little swamp was the only thing close to any climate change.
"Kaeru!" Yelled a friend of Kaeru's, Usagi.
Usagi was-As like Kaeru-dressed as animal but, with a bunny costume instead of frog.
Usagi was very pretty, she had light purple eyes and reddish-brown hair that was cut short and fluffed.
"Hai~ Usagi-Sama!" Kaeru said, sitting against the rim of the pond like a frog, waiting for her to come over.
"Good morning, Kaeru!" Said Usagi happily.
"Kero~ Ohaiyo gozaimasu, Usagi-Sama" Replied Kaeru.
A lot of people thought Kaeru and Usagi were sisters.
They both knew English and Japanese, and looked similar. But, importantly, they both thought exactly the same.
"What is for breakfast today?" Asked Kaeru curiously.
"Fruit~" Exclaimed Usagi, "Grapes, Apples, Watermelon, Blueberries, Strawberries, and Bananas"
Kaeru didn't like bananas, they made her gag and blueberries made Kaeru's teeth look funny. But, she sure did love watermelon and green grapes.
The Eating Bell rang from the old rotting pole in Kaeru's pond that was covered in moss and green goo and vines.
Usagi and Kaeru held hands and went to the giant tree near the back of the swamp and knocked twice.
The secrect of the swamp was that it was actually a giant room with some fake materials, like the giant tree. Kaeru found out about a week after she arrived for her Test.
The tree door swung slowly opened and the both slowly climbed in, Usagi always first, then Kaeru.
There was a slide in the tree that led outside the pond, which led to a giant dinning room.
It had cream walls and a long fancy table with chairs and plates always neatly ordered.
On the plates everyday was the food they would be having, the bigger food that couldn't fit were cut and put on a seperate plate.
No one questioned it. But, no one ignored it either.
Usagi and Kaeru sat in there usual spots.
They usually waited for about five more other people to come before they started eating, it felt weird if they didn't.
The room's walls were entirely doors of all kinds for each resident of the place.
Kaeru's door was in one corner of the room and was painted dark green and had a tiny frog painted on it.
An ice blue round door opened soon enough and Peewing emerged out, waddling to her spot.
Peewing was a girl with straight black hair and blue eyes.
She wore a black hoodie with a white oval in the middle, she had black ca-pre pants to match and dark orange fuzzy boots, she seemed to look very adultish.
Peewing was very good friends with Kaeru and usually sat next to her.
"Good morning, Kaeru! Good morning, Usagi!" She said, giving out her daily and expected, hello of the day.
"Good morning, Peewing!" Usagi and Kaeru said at the same time.
Peewing sat down and gave Kaeru a hug.
Kaeru hugged back then shifted and sat on her legs since she was too tiny for the tall table.
Kaeru was the tiniest and the youngest at the Place.
Kaeru reached over and picked up the handful of blueberries with her hand, dropping onto Peewing's pile of blueberries.
"Aww, why thank you, Kaeru!" Said Peewing, smiling.
Kaeru nodded and gave her her banana too.
Usagi giggled, "She just doesn't like them"
Peewing shrugged "It's still a nice gesture. It's good to share." She said.
Kaeru started eating her grapes-the green ones first- as Peewing started eating one out of two bananas.
A yellow grassy wooden door then opened as Leo came out.
Leo was very tall and big-But not fat- he wore a jacket with a fuzzy rimmed hood and dark yellow skinnies.
The jacket was also yellow and by the pockets it had two little paw prints.
Leo's eyes were just like a cat's a green, his hair was also black and fluffy and swayed to the side.
Leo respected Kaeru for one thing and one thing only.
Because Kaeru was a really good swimmer.
A year back, Kaeru and Leo had a race at Leo's lake and Kaeru had beat him by a long shot. Ever since, Leo has looked out for Kaeru.
"Hey kiddies~" Greeted Leo with his fancy Austrailian accent.
"Good morning, Leo~" Said Usagi, teasing him by talking with the same accent like she always did.
"Morning, Leo!" Said Peewing.
"Good morning, kitty" Said Kaeru. Kaeru liked to call him Kitty and Kaeru was only allowed to call him that for one reason only,
"Good morning, Lily" Said Leo, grinning
Leo called Kaeru, Lily because frogs liked lily pads and because Leo remembered a little girl he was fond of named Lily.
Kaeru looked around at all the other doors.
She still had a couple friends missing- where are they?
