Chapter 1

Preface

Just because a girl is a girl and not a lady, it doesn't necessarily mean that she's a kid. It just means that she can't vote, or get (legally) married, order stuff off infomercials, or get a tattoo without her parents' consent. And that's all it means. It doesn't mean that she can't go to the mall by herself, or get her own cell phone; no! That's how you treat a kid. And girls aren't kids--they're girls. Kids are kids! And, trust me, we aren't them. We are special. We have feelings that little kids don't have. We have emotions. All they know how to do is cry and whine. But we know how to hurt.
