Good Grades, A Better Life, and a Really Bad Friend
This is a story about tough times in the life of a preteen girl. She goes through all the things that are unimaginable for someone the age of 11. But girls are girls--and we can change the world.
Chapter 1
Preface
Just because a girl is a girl and not a lady, it doesn't necessarily mean that she's a kid. It just means that she can't vote, or get (legally) married, order stuff off infomercials, or get a tattoo without her parents' consent. And that's all it means. It doesn't mean that she can't go to the mall by herself, or get her own cell phone; no! That's how you treat a kid. And girls aren't kids--they're girls. Kids are kids! And, trust me, we aren't them. We are special. We have feelings that little kids don't have. We have emotions. All they know how to do is cry and whine. But we know how to hurt. We now how to feel pain. And when an adult tells us we can't do something because we are "just kids." Well guess what? We'll show them. Then who will be considered a kid?
Surely not me.
Surely not me.
