En Pointe Part 17

"This isn't going to work," Natalia said taking a swig of water. It had been nearly three weeks since Natasha had woken up. She was still in rehabilitation, although she may never dance again, she was expected to make a full recovery.

"Yes, it is. We are going to nail this lift if it's the last thing we do," he answered. She rolled her eyes. She had spent so much time with Reese in practice room 3, they should have just moved in. Not to mention that she'd heard fireflies so many times that she could recite the lyrics word for word in her sleep (she probably did in fact).

"It's hard and doesn't even go with the song. We should just rechoreograph the last thirty seconds,"

"We almost nailed it. It took them a while..."

"It was a movie! Besides if we try to practice at the Y again I think the life guard will try drowning himself," he laughed and grabbed her water bottle shutting it and tossing it in her bag leading her to the center again.

"Wait!" he said and set up his video camera. She rolled her eyes as he started the music. She leaned in and he did a back band while she fled to the other side doing Grand Jette. He landed and she ran toward him (trying to look graceful) he caught and lifted her up to the ceiling. They did it! He put her down and she wrapped her arms around his neck. "We did it," he whispered. She nodded, their faces inches away from touching he leaned closer she didn't know what to do and pulled away. SHe walked to the stereo and he went to the video camera.

"Are we done are do you want to do the entire thing?" she asked putting a sweater on over her tank top and readjusting her hair, which had fell out during the lift.

"I think we're done for the day." He said. She knew the answer before he even said it and grabbed her bag leaving. She wouldn't let herself get close to him.


Two Weeks Later

Natalia was so nervous she was shaking. It was Friday and the competition was the entire weekend. Her and Reese were leaving early. Katie kept on telling her to chill the whole day. It was history and she was perched on her chair waiting for the intercom to say they had to leave. Reese was slouching just to annoy her.

They listened to the teacher talk, but neither of them had any concentration. Natalia just wanted to practice more until they could do it blindfolded and Reese could hardly keep from shouting at her to chill out. The teacher had just given them the assignment when the office came on. "Mr. Bane? Natalia Evans and Reese Hathaway are needed at the office, they will be leaving."

Natalia jumped out of her seat before they could react. Everyone looked at them. She was practically out the door and he was taking his sweet time. "Mr. Henley I suggest you hurry up. Ms. Evans I think you can calm down," the class burst into laughter. Finally he got up and she practivally pulled him out the door.

"Someone's excited," Reese said as they made it to the office. She smiled and walked over to her mom.

"Where's dad?"

"He'll be coming later, he couldn't get off work. He'll be coming with your parents Reese," she said. Natalia knew something was up but didn't say a word.


A couple hours later they were at the hotel. There were a lot of people walking around. Natalia and Reese had just came back from practicing, they'd already checked in with everything. She was talking with him about the lift when she heard something. "Tally!" She turned around and saw Natasha standing next to her dad and Reese's parents. She still didn't look that great. She was less angular now after putting on some weight, but she was still eerily pale.

Natalia jogged over to her sister and gave her a hug. "Tash, how? I thought..."

"I wanted to surprise, I could have been released earlier, but this was much more fun." Natasha picked around her sister and saw Reese was standing there silent laughter upon his lips. "Come over here!" She shouted at him. He walked over and she gave him a hug too. "Get used to it," She said judging his expression. "Me and Tal, we're a package deal. Not only do you get the OCD twin you,"

"Get the insane one." Natalia finished. Natasha slung an arm over her sister and squeezed. For now the twins were happy to be back together.
