Flowers and Unspoken Words
This is a story that I had came up with during a long car ride to a town. I had gotten the idea from a story that I had last night/ this morning. Hope you enjoy:))
Chapter 1
The Meadow
Flowers. She was envloped in them. She could smell their sweetness, feel their softness. She instantly knew where she was at. She had fallen asleep in the meadow, trying to get away from the pixies that were following her around. She sat up, streching and yawning. She felt her long brown hair hit her back. It flew all the way to her bottom, and she loved it that way.
She glanced around, wondering why the pixies had given up the chase. She also wondered what day it was.She looked up at the sky. She had remembered that they ran after her in the morning, and the sun was at it's highest. Noon. They would have woken her up if a day had passed. They do not like her being out there where somebody could kill her, they loved pranking her too much.
"Alaula, what are you doing?"A distant and mustical voice called out. Alaula turned to see Spring, one of the pixies tht was following her, standing in the opening of the meadow."I was sleeping."Alaula replied simpliy."We lost you. We thought that a hunter had gotten a hold of you."Spring walked over and sat down next to her."May I do your hair? It has got leaves and flowers in it."Alaula just nodded, still fazed and sleepy.
Spring started to part Alaula's velvet soft dark brown hair. It was one of Alaula's favorite things. That had her grey eyes."I have to go hunt,"Alaula started to say,"so this must not take long."Spring nodded, now twirling her hair."You know,"Spring started,"you have stayed and protected us for such a long time. You must be lonely."
"I have you and Willow to keep me company."Alaula said, a certin hardness in her voice."But-"
"Are you done? The children will be wanting dinner and I have to go and hunt."Spring put the last bright red flower into Alaula's hair and stood up."As you wish,"Then the short pixie skimmpered off and back into the Willow.
Alaula stood up, her tall figure much more taller than the pixies. In fact, Alaula was the only human to have seen pixies and faeries in over a hundred years. Not many humans had the sight, and not many faeries and pixies and ther mythical creatures trusted the humans. Alaula looked around for her bow and arrows, or even her sword.she saw a glimpse of the bow and her bag of arrows hanging on a tree.
Alaula walked over and picked them up.They were made from an Ash tree and a mystical faerie stone. They always helped her find food for the small pixies, since faeries only needed protection.Alaula walked away from the opening of the Willow and into the direction of the river and stream. She decided that the pixie children would eat a deer and a bear today.
An awful lot to carry, though. She thought to herself./ I will just settle with two deers./ She walked further and out into the sun. The sun made her faerie tattoo shine with beautiful colors. They were the colors of her soul. Red for passion, blue for sympathy, and purple for loneliness. She frowned slightly as she watched the purple shine more than the rest. She hasn't loved in a long time..and that ended badly.
She stopped thinking about that. Ever since she was little she knew that she was not the one for love. Anything that she loved, it turned bad. She is just a protector, that is all she wants to do. But everybody knows that being a protector is what she wants to do. Faeries, as evil as they could be, want her to be loved. Alaula walked back into the shadows; her faerie tattoo now looking like black vines that crawled up her arm.
She loved it as black. She wished that she could controle it, but it was in her to manifest magic from the light. Her name even meant light. Her mother was a priestess for the Light Kingdom. That was all Alaula knew of her mother. Priestesses were not allowed to have kids. So, Alaula had to stay with her father in the forest.
Something brought her out of her thoughts. It was coming from the direction of the stream. Slipping off her leather bound shoes, Alaula walked over to the stream. A surprise awaited her.
