Chapter 1
Life or Death
Her name was Abby
She was a young girl of only sixteen
When she would make a life changing choice
The biggest for a long time
People whispered and murmured at the sight of her
Tst- tst- tst she would hear
Her friends turned against her
She felt like she was all alone
Just her against the world
Although if she would look around she would find her boyfriend by her side
They are fighting together
Against the rumors and the lies
They were no longer just dating
They were partners in crime
She noticeably grew
Her appearance changed
Everyone she met would know what had happened
For she grew
She grew
Not in height
But in width
She was as wide as an elephant’s leg
As everyone knew
Everyone judging her
She went from being on top as a cheerleader
To low as a commoner on the royal high school grounds
Her choice was clear
Life or death
Her family made a good point
“You can’t afford a child, for you are one yourself,”
“Adoption is always a choice,” others said
She knew these statements to be true
Being pregnant would follow her for the moment
Giving abortion that’s a different case altogether
That would follow her for life
She had heard the stories about your dead unborn child haunting your dreams
“I wouldn’t be able to go through with an abortion,”
She thought to herself
“I will put the child up for adoption.”
After nine months she wanted to keep the adorable child
The possibility of her daughter not knowing her true mother
Those thoughts are what made Abby’s heart hurt
Her beautiful little girl, Hope, never knowing her
It hurt more than being stabbed in the heart by a million blades
She was keeping the baby
After Hope was born she grew up
Taller and taller
At four years old she had shiny golden hair down to her lower back, big brown eyes, and a beautiful smile
Abby couldn’t believe it sending Hope off to her first year of kindergarten
Abby felt so happy just to hold her daughters hand
How long would she be able to hold on?
How soon would it be until Hope was sending off her own daughter?
These were questions Abby wasn’t ready to answer
She knew the answers would be along soon enough
Ready or not
Here it comes
