Kaihan the falcon

Kaihan soared over the treetops, admiring the early golden light with her new mait Kheir, when suddenly a loud bang sounded and something whizzed by her ear hole. Another bang, and a searing pain erupted in her wing. "Kheir!" She screeched. "Help me! What is going on?" She looked over at her right wing and saw drops of blood twirling up to the sky. She was steadily plummeting downward as Kheir screeched her name, but she barley heard him as her vision started to fog up and she was swallowed by blackness...
