HELP!!
Ok, fellow Quibblonians. I’ve got myself a problem. Or maybe it’s not, I don’t know, but please read below and give me your opinion. Thanks!! :)
Chapter 1
Moving to D.C.??
Ok, my mom works in the National Guard (a part of the army, in case you didn’t know) and has the opportunity to move to Washington D.C. for a year for her job. (She won’t lose her current job if she doesn’t go) She has to turn in her application by this Wednesday, and she may or may not get chosen, so nothing is set in stone. The thing is, she doesn’t want to go alone, so she told me she won’t likely go unless I come with her. I would love to move to Washington D.C. and out of my small town, I love big cities. And my mom knows that, and even said she wouldn’t even consider the job if it wasn’t for me.
But then comes in the nerves about leaving. I may not love my town, but I do love my friends. And moving to D.C. would mean being the new kid, which is hard enough. And if I do love D.C. and all the people in it, I would just have to leave a year later anyway, and then come back and face high school back in my town. Not to mention, I would miss my kitties and my dad, who would have to stay back in Michigan for his job. :( And my brother may or may not go with us. And even though he’s a twerp and a dork, I’ll probably miss him a lot. :(
But still the fact remains, it might be really amazing. I might even get to go to a charter school that specializes in writing. I might meet a bunch of awesome people. Who knows, I might even aspire to become a politician because it’s so amazing there.
And so I ask you, dear Quibblo friends, should I stay or should I go? What do you think? Would you? All thoughts, comments and opinions would be appreciated!! :)
Thanks so much!!

Well it's ur choice but if u don't want to leave the rest of the people u care about then have a chat with ur mum and ask her about it. I mean no one likes moving & if u have to go to a new school for a year then ur gonna miss ur studies and exams (I can't say I speak from experience of moving new schools) and ur m8s 2. Just talk 2 ur mum and every1 else get their opinions but don't be influenced by 'em and try 2 come up with what would be best 4 u.
Moving to D.C is a great oppritunity to explore and stuff... If your outgoing, I'm sure you wouldn't have any trouble making friends... And you could also write or call your dad every once in a while... I would go !
I can't tell you the answer. I could tell you D.C Would be wonderful and I could say What about all your history in you town. I say follow your heart. If you Really want to go, then go. But if you feel like somethings would be missing in your heart then stay. I can't make this choice and nobody else can too. Only you can. Your the only person on this earth that can decide. I hope you make the right choice :D Hopes this helped
I have no idea on what you want. But, if it was me, I would go. Good luck!
that's a tough decision. ive only been to D.c. onxe as a school trip. it's pretty fun. And the chartwr school sounds exciting. But being the new kid can be hard. If I were you I'd go. There's a lot of opportunities that youd miss if you stayed home. Besides, youll make lots of friends there, and return to your old friends in a year. Dont let this opportunity pass! :)
If i was you I would sooooo go! I mean, its DC! You'll always come back, and it's not hard to keep in touch with your friends and family through email, skype, calling and what not. But that's just me. when you make your decision, sleep on it, and if it's still the same decision, go for it!
In my opinion, it depends on if you want the adventure or not. I think it would be a really great oppurtunity to get a taste of a new place and get around to see new places. Friends and family can be a really hard loss for a year, but in the long run, the friends that don't leave your side are true friends. and you'll always be back to see your dad and brother. the "what if" feeling might eat at you after a while too. I say go for it! :) You'll have a great time, i think :D
I think that you should go. You'll come back in a year so you'll see your friends again, and maybe you can make a few new friends in your new town! I think it's a once-in-a-lifetime oppritunity and that you should take it!
