It all started with a turn of a bottle ((AJ Holmes))

Flashback, two years ago 

"Come on, AJ, it's your turn!" Darren almost yelled to him. We were playing Spin the Bottle. A childish game, but not when you’re playing with your friends…and Annalise. 

"I will just- stop yelling. Joey, did you clap his ears?" AJ replied, looking towards Joey. 

"Nope," Joey took a drink of his beer. 

"Ok, here we go..." He spun the bottle and it faced me. 

"Oh, AJ, try again," his girlfriend, Annalise, whined, "she isn't pretty." 

"She's prettier than you’ll ever be.” Most spoke up, defending me, all except AJ, who looked torn between dissing his friend or his girlfriend. I smiled a bit at my friends.

"Oh shut up, you know you all want me." She sneered. 

AJ leaned toward me and kissed me, I hesitated then kissed back. His lips were soft, not forceful like Darren's when I got him. We kissed for awhile, and then I heard a girlish whimper and high heels clicking until, finally, a slammed door. AJ pulled away quickly and followed her, not even pausing to look at me.

"Annalise is a bitch." Brolden, Brian Holden, told me, smiling and ruffling my hair innocently. I clicked my tongue. He knew how I felt about people messing up my hair. 

"Oh, Brian." I started nicely, and then dropped my voice to a deadly whisper, “If you mess up my hair one more time I'll kick you in the balls so hard that you'll sing like Justin Bieber.”

He scooted over to Denise. "I'm scared now." 

"I'm going to go check on AJ and the bitch." I replied, acting as if he hadn’t spoken, and I got up.

"Wait for me. I wanna kick some ass- let's go." Lauren followed me. We followed the clicks and apologies. After catching up to them we saw AJ almost get his hand stuck in an elevator. 

"AJ, are you okay?" I asked him, sounding sympathetic. 

"Go away, please." 

"AJ, it's me, your best friend from high school- tell me anything. Lauren, leave. Go kick somebody's ass." I told her, and she seemed thrilled. 

"Ok!" She ran off with excitement. 

"AJ, it’s my fault, and I know it. You should have spun again, then again, and again until you got Annalise. Now everything is messed up and our show is tomorrow night. I don't know I could go on without feeling guilty. And now two people hat-" He kissed me again. 

"Only one person hates you. You know that I still love you. More than friends." 

"I love you too AJ."

"How do we remember that so...clearly?" I asked AJ then. 

"Because it's when we told each other we loved each other." He replied happily, getting up and stretching, "It's been two years." 

"I know. And I'm still stuck in the guest room of Starkid manor." 

"Don't complain. There's no room yet. You're getting your own room, for clothes and crap. And a bed if we fight." 

"If we fight. We haven't had a fight in years." I told him, grinning. 

"I said if!" 

"I know." I jumped on his back and kissed his cheek. "I love you." 

"Eep ook op ah ah you too. Okay, I'm hungry. BROLDEN AND WALKER WAKE UP!" He yelled then. 

"NO! GET YOUR OWN BREAKFAST!" AJ phone goes off singing I Feel Good. 

"Hello...yes its AJ...her rooms ready, great! On my way, pay you there." He hung up. "Let's go!" He grabbed my hand and pulled me to the car. "We will get your stuff later." My boyfriend, the mind-reader. 

"Ok. Let's go then!" 

"It was my music room, here, men, thanks a lot!," He handed them about 300 dollars. The men nodded and left. They were large, stocky, brawny. 

"But they knocked down a wall in my room extended it and well you'll see." He told me excitedly, grinning from ear to ear. 

"You're too excited, it's scaring me!" I wasn't lying, when he's excited he gets drunk and when he gets drunk I get drunk, and you take it from there. ((A/N I'm keeping it somewhat clean- minus the language.)) 

"I won't get you drunk this time. Your favorite color is still electric blue, right?" 

"Just like Ron Weasley's eyes, correct." We walked up the stairs, holding hands. He led me until he stopped in front of a door. My door. 

"Well, here!" He opened my door and I saw a giant window with my walls electric blue. I had Harry Potter and StarkidPotter posters almost everywhere. I had some Glee posters near my closet. I went to my closet and opened it. My eyes widened. 

"Oh my gosh! You got me a walk-in-closet?!” 

"Yeah keep walking to the other door, I’ll be right back!" He ran off. I kept walking in the dark until I reached a door. I opened it to see AJ. "Hello! Now I can, scare you, see you, or pop in randomly! Now come on I want to show you my music room!" We walked to a door in his gigantic room and opened a door. 

"Holy Shlt!" He had a couple pianos here and there, a book-shelf full of binders with sheet music, and a couple guitars and a cello. "Why are my instruments here?" 

"Your mom sent them in."

"Nice." I went to my cello and started playing 'Hey Dragon' Written for the cello by myself. 

"When did you do that? Write the song for cello?" 

"When I was in Rome,” I laughed.

"Nice." I finished the song, and grinned at AJ. “I’m gonna go get a Sobe.” I told him, and I went back downstairs. I smiled my whole way down and up. I now had a room, nearly shared with AJ. Could this get any better? 

I lie on my bed and AJ came in through the closet. "Boo! Kidding." He plops down next to me. "Do you love it?" He asked me hopefully, eyes wide. 

"More than vanilla ice-cream." I grinned as I told him. 

"Do you love me more than the room?" 

"Of course. No competition." I laughed and hugged him. 

"I know!" 

"Yeah, shut up." 

"Commanding! Psh you're sleeping here tonight. Because this bed is comfy and I'm staying here also." he kicked his shoes off and put his arms behind his head. 

"Oooh sexy smile!" I pulled out my phone and took a picture. I looked down at my phone. I got a few messages. 

Lillian- Hey biotchola what's up? 

Natalie-Joey and I are shopping, You and AJ have to come or else.

Lauren- I'm making you vanilla icecream! 

"Hey AJ, Natalie says we HAVE to go shopping with her and Bug." 

"Why is she dating Joey now? She would be better with Darren if Geena didn't have him. Or JoMo, if Elegance didn't have him...Joey was the only single person in Starkid for awhile." 

"Yeah, I felt bad. But I called up Natalie and everything led up to one another. Now I want to get out of my pajamas and into normal clothing." He nodded and walked out. I saw some of my dresses in my closet and shoes to match. 
I put on a medium long emerald green dress with heels. I went to my bathroom and fixed my hair. I quickly brushed my teeth and went downstairs to AJ,Natalie, and Joey. 

"Joey." 

"Arty." 

"Don't call me that." 

"Can't hold me to that promise." 

"Joey, I'll let you call me Apple Juice Holmes for a mont-"

"Deal." He answered quickly. 

"Let's go shopping. Now!" Natalie grabbed my arm and pulled me into her Impala SS. "Nice dress." 

"Thanks. I think he picked it out." 

"I did. And why do you get the passenger seat?" 

"Because I can!" 

"Poor Apple. Your girlfriend can be a bitch. Nicer than Annalise. I passed her yesterday and she was preggo without a ring on her finger." 

"Or she got fat." Natalie looked at him through the mirror, starting the engine. 

"I know what pregnant women look like. I've seen Beyonce. Any-who... Are we going to the mall or not?" 

"Yeah let's go!" Natalie drives like a maniac! She got pulled over, twice, but in two hours we made it to the mall which was 30 minutes away. 

"Finally." I got out, feeling sick. 

"I'm going to puke." Joey stumbled out. 

"Hey, it's not my fault that you guys can't handle my driving." 

"I feel fine. My sister loved to drive like that." AJ got out looking perfectly normal. 

"Your sister scares me. I don't drive with her anymore." Joey and I were tripping over our feet as Natalie ran to the mall and AJ was walking normally. "AJ, stop being normal- it’s not healthy." 

"You want me to walk around like I'm drunk? No thank you." 

"Apple, calm down." 

I straightened up and walked through the doors. We went to Subway and got sandwiches. "Who wants fro-yo?" 

"Me!" They all answered. 

"Apple wants strawberry, Joey wants blueberry, and Natalie wants vanilla also?" 


They nodded and I skipped off. 

"One strawberry, blueberry, and two vanilla fro-yos medium sized." they nodded and got my orders done. 
"Thanks you!!" I paid them and put my change in the tip jar. 

"Welcome have a good day." 

I walked back to our table. "Ta-Da!!!!" 

"I'm done." Joey said after three minutes. 

"I barely made a big dent into mine and you're done with yours?" Apple flicked some of his yogurt at Joey. 

"AJ and Joey don't start I don't want to be kicked out AGAIN!" 

"You can't stop us." 

"Andrew James Holmes and Joseph Michael Richter I swear." 

"Okay, Okay!" They dropped their spoons. 

"Crap! Starkid fans. Let them come over or disguises?" Natalie grabbed her glasses. 

"Let them come over." I stood up and waved them over. They ran over and started to giggle. 

"H-H-Hi! I'm Maddie!" 

"And I'm Lilith!" 

"I'm Keith." 

"Hi Maddie,Lilith, and Keith! How are you?" We asked politely. 

"Great. They pulled me over." Keith pointed to Maddie and Lilith. "I still love StarkidPotter though." 

"We did not. Artemis waved all of us over!" They protested. 

"No fighting. Well I bet you know us. I am?" 

"AJ Holmes." 

"Apple to me." Joey smiled. "And I am?" 

"Joey Richter." 

"Yes we know they are smart!" Natalie cheered. 

"So Artemis are you with anybody?" Keith asked curiously.

"Yeah, with Apple over there." 

"Oh." He looked sad. 

"Group picture?" Apple suggested kindly.


"Sure. Let's go outside?" Maddie grabbed her camera and we went outside. We took a lot of pictures. And I mean A LOT! They got some of the couples separate, we got a nice stranger to take pictures of all of us, and Keith asked AJ if he could take a picture with me. He said yes and we got a few pictures together. 

"Maddie and Lilith give me your phone." They handed me their phones and I put my number in. I gave them mine and they put their numbers in. "Keith?" 

"Nah." 

I glared at him. "Oh, come on, Apple can give you his also." 

"Okay. Here Apple." He tossed his phone. 

"We aren't that close yet. You must wait." AJ tossed his phone to Keith. They exchanged numbers and gave their phones back. 

"Keith I'll get your number from AJ, I need to shop before Natalie goes crazy. Nice to meet you guys." I waved and we went shopping.
