Their chosen style/subculture doesn't matter with how you go about it.
Find one of the guys you think is hot, and that you have something in common with, (it helps if you see the guy around a lot.) Get to know him, hang out, make sure he interest in you too, and ask him out.
(I've got my own eye on an incredibly hot rock 'n' roll kind of bad boy. I'm involved with him, just not dating.... yet, cause it's a good possibility that can change down the road.)

I don't know, just try and be yourself and don't overdo the stereotype ex. saying "I love cutting myself", just try and strike up a conversation with him like saying " (insert punk band here) is so deep, I really dig their tunes."
well, I wouldn't say it so cheesily. but striking up conversations about a band is a good idea.
Ask the guy if he's a fan of bands that you like (they don't have to be all emo bands... just cause a guy dresses in the style doesn't mean his taste in music is restricted to just the emo genre) and if you guys find a band in common, that's a great way to get into a good conversation.
