This is coming from a kid who wasn't around when it was aired, learned about Tezuka, became a fan, ordered Kimba through the library, and watched it with fresh eyes: WOO HOO!!!! Pros: Most of the story is intact (based on a manga) , art is great, color is blinding, characters are great, etc. However, Kimba was Leo first, they dumbed down the plot, the theme song is idiotic, and almost all of the original soundtrack is gone. I think if I hadn't read the synopsis of the original on TezukaInEnglish

I would have hated it and stuck with my Pixar stuff. Being able to compare it to something made it very enjoyable for me and currently I'm trying to find a copy of the book so I can translate it into English. I don't know Japanese, but since no one else seems to want to translate it, .... grr.....
