Chasing My Demons(Marauders Love Story)

How do I end up with all the wrong friends? This is how. I am always one to defend people. I don’t tolerate bullying when two people hardly know each other. So, when I’m just walking through the Hogwarts express and I hear some kids bullying a kid just because he wants to be in Slytherin you can guess what I’ll do.
“What is you issue?” I asked from the door of the compartment.
“And who are you?” A boy with messy hair asked me.
“Ok, 1, I asked you first, and 2, if you don’t like his opinion of house choice then don’t stay here.” I said.
“Fine.” The boy said as he and his friend left.
When they were gone I turned to the other two kids sitting in the compartment, “Hey, I’m Nicole but you can call me Nikki.”
“Hey. I’m Lily and this is Severus.” A red-headed girl said as she gestured to a greasy-haired boy.
I nodded and asked, “Can I sit here? Everywhere else is full and some Griffindork 5thyears kicked me out of my old compartment.”
“Sure.” Severus said.
~Later~
“Kendrick, Nicole.” A strict lady called. I skipped up to the stool and sat down. She placed the hat on my head. I felt my mind wander to my favorite song.
“Shut up mind!” I thought.
“Hmm,” the hat hissed in my ear, “RAVENCLAW!”
I sat on the stool with an empty face. I slowly looked at the strict lady and asked, a little too loud, “Is this thing serious?”
“Take your seat please.” The lady said pointing to a table. The tale didn’t cheer or welcome me, they just glowered at me. I sat at the far end and fell asleep.
~Next day~
I was walking to my next class. A group of Slytherins were walking over to me.
“Hello nerd.” The “lead” one smirked.
“Ok, don’t you dare judge me like that ragged old hat! I would rather be Hufflepuff than Ravenclaw! I am not nerdy whatsoever!” I growled.
“Let’s test that.” He smirked again.
“Fine,” I said. I turned and found some dork from Gryffindor. I pulled out my wand and flicked it muttering some curse. He suddenly fell over with boils on his face and his books flying everywhere!
The boys behind me busted out laughing, “Maybe you’re not so bad.” He held out his hand, “I’m Malfoy by the way, Lucius Malfoy.”
So that is how I make all the wrong friends. I eventually made friends with Regulus Black when he started school here and I started hanging out with Slytherins. My best friends were Narcissa and Bellatrix Black so you can guess the trouble it caused me.
~5th year~
I was laughing as Bella was turning some Hufflepuff kid’s hair green. Cissy and I were clutching our sides as Bella cussed the kid out. I felt my lungs start to hurt from lack of oxygen.
“Can’t breathe,” I choked out. Bella finished yelling and turned to see her sister and me rolling on the ground clutching our sides. I know, I would usually stand up for people being bullied but I guess I was sort of “brainwashed” by the Slytherins and my close friendship with them.
“You weirdoes,” She chuckled. When we calmed down enough, I helped Cissy up and we leaned on each other as we steadied our breath.
“Did you see the look on the kids face though?” I asked.
“Did you see it though?! That was hilarious!” Cissy said.
“Oh, come on.” Bella said, “Let’s go eat!”

I sat between Sev and Regulus as Bella and Cissy sat across from us, next to Lucius. He and Cissy were the Prefects.
“Gosh! You should have seen it!” I laughed as I sat down.
“Hey Nikki,” Sev said.
“Hey Ravenclaw,” Lucius said. He called me Ravenclaw because ‘I’m the only cool one’.
“What should we have seen?” Regulus asked.
“Bella was hexing this Hufflepuff ditz and cussing him out! It was wicked!” I laughed.
“How you ended up in Ravenclaw I can’t fathom.” Sev said amused as Cissy and I laughed about the Hufflepuff’s face.
“Oh, Severus, your vocabulary intimidates me.” I said sarcastically. We all laughed.
