Circles - A Draco Malfoy Love Story
Heey, it's Alexis(:
I wrote this out of boredom, and my love for Draco(:
The main character's name is Ashley, but Draco calls her Ash. She's Hermione's cousin, and it's right after the seventh book takes place.
Enjoy :D
Chapter 1
Draco's Point of View
I looked to my father, staring down at me with viscous intent and disappointment furrowing his brow. "Draco, Draco, Draco...," He breathed. "Where did I go wrong?"
"Hanging around mudbloods, are we, Draco?" My mother asked sadly.
"She's not a mudblood," I muttered, far too low for anyone to hear.
My father nodded towards my mother and said with no emotion, "Narcissa. Perhaps you can talk some sense into the boy." I hated that. Whenever he was upset with me, he referred to me as "the boy".
"Oh, Draco. You know so much better." My mother bowed her head in disappointment. "Why, you must be so ashamed!"
"I'm not ashamed at all," I said quickly.
"You should be!" My father hissed.
"Well I have nothing to be ashamed for!"
"Draco Lucius Malfoy! You are a pure-blood! You have so much more to live for than filthy mudbloods!"
"No! Don't you get it? I'm not like you! I don't want to be a Death Eater! I don't want to be evil!" I shrieked in my father's face.
My mother's face turned white and yelled, "Draco! That is quite enough!"
"You don't understand! She's... She's different!' I babbled.
"All mudbloods are the same, Draco." My father said with narrowed slits as eyes.
"No! No she isn't! You're wrong! Dead wrong! She's my best friend! And I love-!" I screamed; not thinking, but stopped myself.
My mother's face turned to a purplish carnation color, and my father's turned from a salmon color to a cherry red, his temples about to burst, and his whole body shaking with rage.
His hand rose, and I flinched as he was going to hit me, but he just shook his finger angrily at me, then struck me hard across the face.
I rubbed my cheek as it glowed red hot where he had hit me.
"Draco, I am disgraced to call you a Malfoy! You..." He hesitated for a moment and shouted, "You are disowned!"
"Lucius, let's not be hasty, now, Dear...." My mother was agitated, and she clung to my father like gum on a shoe.
He shook his head violently and roared, "Get out of my house! Get OUT!"
I scurried to the door, and before I made my exit, I breathed, "You'll be sorry."
As I made my way to Hermione's house, Ash was resting on her cousin's swingset. The sky was blackish-blueish and the stars were extremely bright tonight.
She saw me and ran over to me. "Draco! What are you doing here?" She asked as she hugged me.
"I... I told my parents."
She smiled through the darkness, her brown-gold hair billowing in the sweet summer air shining with a red merciful glare.
"You did? How'd it go?" She asked anxiously, her eyes searching my face for answers with a hopeful grin on her face.
"They... they didn't take it well at all."
"What happened?" Her eyes grew worried.
"Nothing happened," I lied.
She could see right through me as if I was transparent. "Okay..., so what really happened?"
I sighed and looked into her eyes for a moment. Realizing she wasn't going to relent a tiny bit, I gave up. "I told them that I didn't... I didn't want to be evil..." I continued, saying more to myself than to her, "I'm not evil, am I?"
"Draco, you're nowhere near evil. You're the best friend I could ever have. You could never be evil, in my eyes." She pursed her lips like she wanted to say more, but I stopped her short.
I looked deeply into her eyes and said, "Ash...."
She looked up at me with those big green eyes that peirced my very soul. "Yes, Draco?"
I grinned down at her and leaned in close to kiss her.
At platform nine and three quarters, Ash and I were holding hands and walking happily towards Hermione and Ron. No Harry?
"Maybe Harry's not here, yet," Ash mumbled, as if reading my mind.
Ash kept her dainty grip on my hand and ran to greet her cousin. "Hermione! How are you?"
Hermione gawked at our hand-holding, but hid it subtly. "I'm... I'm good. How... How are you?" She asked, not keeping track of her words.
"Oh, I'm just great!" She said in that cheery optimistic way I loved about her.
"Hel- Hello, D-Draco." Hermione stuttered.
"Hello, Ron. Hello, Hermione. How are you two?" Ron responded briskly, but Hermione ignored me.
She still gawked at our hands, and she winced at our heads being so close together as Ash leaned her head on my shoulder. "Cousin, Ashley..., Dear...? C-Can I have a word... in private?"
Ash turned to me, looked my in the eyes, and said, "Give me a second, Draco?"
I nodded. I watched Hermione grab Ash by her wrist lightly and pull her away to a hidden corridor and Hermione didn't look the least bit happy.
