A Little Bit Stronger

As I was running, I wiped tears from my face. Now, I know what you are thinking.."You got so upset, you started running?" In a way yes, but in another way no. I am a runner in general...me and my dad run and workout together..today I told him I would meet up with him at the gym, because I wanted to go running by myself. So I left about 2 hours early to have time to run 3 miles, rest for a few minutes, and run the last 3 miles to the gym. I just wanted some time to clear my mind. I recently got my heart broken by not only a guy, but also my best friend. I got back stabbed, There's nothing as horrible as that. I sighed and slowed down to stopping at the usual resting spot. I took off my small keepsake bag and sat down under a tree that's near a creek. Its quiet and calming...just what i need to cry some more. I just cant understand why she back stabbed me, and don't forget about him. He's just a d@u$he bag! Leading me on like that just to find out he was lying. It's just not r-.....I suddenly got cut off by a familiar voice. I've listened to it too many times...it's Justin Bieber's voice! you're losing it, Kaitlin I thought, but then I saw him with unfamiliar black suited guys trailing behind. He spotted me and stopped in his tracks probably waiting on me to attack him or something I almost giggled out loud. When he saw i wasn't going to be a crazed fan he eased up and walked toward me. I tried to look busy by taking my water bottle out of my bag to get a drink.
"Hey, are you ok?" Justin cleared his throat and asked.
"I-I guess..." I look down and suddenly remembered my eyes all swollen like from crying and my face tear streaked.
"A pretty girl like you shouldn't be crying. I'm assuming you know me, but these guys are Ryan and Jason." He smiled politely.
"Hey, I'm Kaitlin" I replied quietly.
There was a pause before he smiled again and sat beside me. "Now, tell me whats wrong."
"You don't want to hear about my problems, and besides its a long story..." I trailed off.
"I've got time."
I sighed and launched into the story about my tragic drama filled event. "The guys name is Preston, the girl's is Brennan. He was the guy I was crazy over!..until I found out he was leading me on and didn't really want me, but that's because of my so called best friend Brenna went after him after she found out my feelings for him. I came into school the next day and all he!! broke loose. Before I knew it rumors were spreading like wild fire, and I didn't have my best friend anymore. It hurts like crazy too," I wiped away more tears and finally looked up at him.
"You don't deserve people like that. Those guys are just stupid for hurting you. I can tell you are a great person. Don't let them bring you down," Justin smiled gently, "may I ask what the rumors were about?"
"Everything. Me being a Wh---, having s-x with every guy I came in contact with, doing drugs...things like that. People turned their backs on me," I looked down again, shaking my head.
"That's a bunch of bull. Why would they believe that??"
"Because Brennan's father is head of the school and everybody wants to get on her good side."
"Oh..." is all he said. He motioned for Jason and Ryan to go away.
"Yeah, but I'm over it. Well not totally. That's why I'm here under this tree. I've just run 3 miles, I'm resting then running another 3 miles to meet my dad at the gym to work out with him. Running helps clear my mind," I smiled a little.
"I know how that is. Whenever I get frustrated or upset I grab my guitar and skateboard, then find a good tree to sit under and play for hours till I'm ready to head back home."
"And screaming fans actually leave you alone?" I laughed.
"When I pick the right places, yes."
We laughed and spoke some more. I told him about the basics of me...favorite color (a soft blue)....my dreams(to become a neonatal nurse)....and things like that. Justin told me him and his bodyguards got bored so they started walking, trying to steer clear of fans. He asked me why I didn't scream and run after him when I saw him. I laughed and simply said "that's so overrated!"
30 minutes later
"Oh wow! I gotta head on out to the gym!" I said, after pulling my phone out of my bag to check the time.
"Well, I hate you have to go...can I text you sometime? I'm here for another week and would love to hang out sometime," His smile got cuter and cuter.
"Yeah, sure,"I smiled, handing him my phone. After he finished, he pulled out his phone handing it to me. After a minute or 2 I handed it back to him. We said goodbyes, and I started running again.
oh wow...that was amazing I thought with a smile.
That Evening
I was laying on my bed when my phone started blasting She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5...(K=kaitlin J=justin)
J- Hey!
K- Hey:)
J-Did you make it to the gym in time? Lol
K- Yeah:) I still had like 10 minutes before Dad showed.
J- Well, thts good! Hey! Wht are you doing tomorrow nght arnd 6?
K- Umm nothing tht I knw of...why?:)
J- Well me and my friend Chaz is wanting to hng out and go to the movies, then bowling. Thght youd like 2 join?:)
K- Id love to!..but wld it b ok with Chaz?
J- Yup:) hes gotta grl of his own:)
K- Great! So tomorrow at 6?:)
J-Yup, I will pick you up!



I gave him my address and made sure everything was in it's place for tomorrow. I was sooo excited! But....could I be able to hang out with him without thinking of Preston...?
