Chapter 1
intro
The hot sun beat down on me, and I sighed. 'Man' I thought to myself 'I wish they had this kind of sun where we're going now'. I was interrupted by the sound of the moving vans. I walked back inside, and into the house. "ABBIE! It's time to go" Dad shouted upstairs. I came downstairs, with the first load of boxes. "There you are Abbie" Dad siad happily. I half-smiled and gave the boxes to the tall, muscular guy in a polo shirt with a moving logo on the arm. I walked back upstairs, and I saw what I knew to be the worst part of us moving. I saw my stable, and I saw my horses, Starburst, and Cometz in there. "Bye my girls" I said as I walked downstairs, with the last of all my stuff on my arms. "Come Abbie. It's time to go" dad siad unhappily. I knew that he didn't want to go either, but he knew that we both had too. I got into my truck, and I started it, as Dad programmed my GPS secretly. I started to follow the directions, and then the sun disappeared slowly. "We're definietly not in California anymore" I sighed as I kept driving. "No we're not Abbie" Dad siad with a hint of happiness in his voice. I was on the edge of getting Dad to drive since I was so emotional. I felt as if I was about to cry, but I kept the tears from flowing. After, however long of driving I did, I pulled into a 3-storey house. I was shocked, and I just sat in the seat. "You ok Abbie?" Dad asked concerned. I just sat there before finally responding. "You said that we were going to live in a country house. Not a freakin urban Mansion!" I squealed happily. Dad smiled and laughed. "Well, that's a house. We're in the country. So I called this a country house" He teased. I slowly nodded, and got out of the truck, and inside. As I walked inside, Dad was waving the moving van into the driveway. I walked all through the house, and as I made my way up the stairs, it seemed like the second floor had only 2 rooms, and the top floor was a room by itself. I immediately claimed this room as my own. As I looked out the window, I thought I saw something that made me feel excited, as if my heart was going to jump out of my chest. "I thought you might've noticed that by now" Dad siad as I ran past him and outside the back door. I ran across the grass, and slowly, I opened the door.
