Trever the Tarantula and the Quest for the Big Thing
Heeeeeelllloooo! Tarantulas aren't that kind of poisonous! I actually made up this story in second grade for a project, and, i don't know, i guess it's too good to hide. So, here it is. I'm going to make a lot of sequels, so keep reading!
Chapter 1
Chapter.. Actually, it's the only chapter.
Trever was a tarantula, as you probably already have guessed. And being a tarantula, he was feared in the jungle, because everyone thought he was poisonous. Trever didn't know this. Whenever Trever tried to make friends, everyone ran away from him. Trever, of course, was poisonous, but his poison wasn't deadly.
And so, Trever felt alone.
One day, Trever decided he couldn't take it anymore. He would find out what everyone was afraid of, and put an end to it. After a week and six minutes, Trever finally cornered an animal; a shivering porcupine named Toaster. Trever asked why Toaster was afraid of him. Toaster told him that he was poisonous.
Trever, of course, was not deadly poisonous, and, after pointing this out to Toaster, felt better.
Toaster, after realizing that the spider was friendly, told Trever of a large thing at the top of a hill called Yravlac that was called the Big Thing. If one spoke into it, it would branch out to the whole jungle, and then the jungle would know that tarantulas were, in fact, not deadly poisonous. And so, Trever and his new friend set out for adventure in the large jungle.
After several days of grueling travel, as the twosome passed a large bush, all of a sudden, a giant tarantula seven times as big as Trever (who was pretty big himself) jumped out from the bush and snapped his enormous pincers.
Toaster ran and hid, but Trever, being a tarantula himself, did not run. The giant one admired Trever's courage and decided to give him information. It turned out that the giant one, Harry, used to burrow in Yarvlac and knew the way to the Big Thing.
Trever invited the larger spider to join him in his broadcast to the jungle, but Harry politely refused, telling the smaller that he didn't mind everyone being afraid of him, but he would aid Trever in his quest. Besides, they did have to fear his overlarge pincers, so he was potentially dangerous.
The three, Trever, Toaster (who was still a little nervous traveling with Harry), and Harry disembarked on their mission once more and had many adventures, many of which are stories by themselves (and will be described in detail at a later date). At long last, Toaster spotted the Big Thing.
But, alas, it was in vain.
A band called Skillet was about to preform on the Big Thing, and wouldn't let the friends on Yravlac Hill without being 'authorized personnel.'
Harry suggested they wait until Skillet was done, Toaster suggested that they put on name tags and get clipboards to be authorized personnel, which always works (try it!), but Trever shook his tiny head and remarked that violence would solve everything, which works to (try it!).
So, Toaster snuck around backstage (with a clipboard and name tag) and unhitched the brakes on the stage, which were necessary; being on a hill with wheels underneath it, the stage needed it. The stage began to roll away, bringing Skillet with it, and smashed on the side of a cliff.
Toaster was not arrested, but fined a billion million dollars for his treachery.
Harry jumped out from his cover and scared all security personnel away.
Trever then proudly stepped up to the Big Thing, which was a giant record player, and told the jungle his story. Seeing Trever's point, the animals who heard the broadcast accepted him and let him come back to his homeland.
Where are the three courageous friends now? Eventually, the Big Thing was moved to Rocky Hill, where Skillet can preform in peace, and Harry has retired and moved back to Yarvlac Hill. Toaster is in court paying of his billion million dollars he owes to the law, and Trever is quietly sitting in his own burrow, happily writing stories about his numerous adventures.
