"Stop!" I cried. "It's to strong!"

The wind was whipping my blonde, tangled hair into my face, and around my shoulders.
"I'm not going to stop! I don't know what will happen if i do!" Benji called back, looking at me with squinted, pain stricken eyes. A look of despair smeared across his face.
"Please," I whispered. "I don't what's happening, but I don't want to lose you."
His eyes widened, and he lowered his hands, clenching them shut.
The streak of blinding white light immediately stopped, and the swirling winds calmed. Leaves and rocks and other various objects dropped from the sky around us, as Benji walked toward me, his face blank.
"Thankyou." I smiled, holding my arms out to hugg him. But he rejected them, and walked past me, calling over his shoulder- "You know, Kelsey, you're lucky I'm such a pushover."
Then he broke into a run, heading for the exit. I followed close behind.

The scene of the junkyard circled my mind, replaying over and over again.
What had been there with us? The deadly force that had shaken me to my core?
And why hadn't I helped Benji? I merely begged him to stop, the thought never crossed my mind that I could help him win.
"Rough day, eh? I can't get it out of my head, it was crazy!" Benji said, breaking my train of thought. He had no shirt, just a pair of jeans that hung loosely on his tall frame. A towel was draped around his neck, his dark hair wet and shaggy. He had just showered.
"Me to," I answered. "I'm sorry I didn't help.. I didn't know what to do, or-"
"Or what it was," He laughed. "Pretty insane, like comic book stuff! Two kids posess powers they didn't realize they had, some evil villan shows up, but he's invisible, tries to kill them in an abandoned Junkyard.." He smiled.
"Yeah, it doesn't seem real.." I said, my eyes wandering to the cuts on my legs.
"But it is real!" He said, "And it's pretty sick! We have Super Powers!"
"But with Super Powers, comes Super responsibilities." I said, sounding like a total nerd.
"How about we skip that part, and go test 'em out?" He grinned, winking at me.
"Oh no, I'm not leaving this house until I know what the heck happened out there, and why light sabers were comming out of your hands!" I said, standing up and moving towards him.
"True, probably a good idea." He said, "but for now, I'm going to bed."

I clicked off the light beside my bed, on the small table.
Time to see what these babies can do. I thought, removing my hands from the covers, and holding them infront of me.
I flexed, and concentrated hard. A pulsing wave shot through my body, starting at my head and down to my toes, then, the tips of my fingers began to glow bright blue. The glowing spread down my wrists, to my arms, then to my shoulders, then neck, stomach, back, legs, face, everything was glowing neon blue!
"Benji!" I shouted "Get in here!"
Oh god! What is happening? This isn't real! This doesn't happen!

Benji burst through the door, a look of shock, horror and curiousoty on his face.
Then, within 5 seconds of laying eyes on me, he says-
"Wow Kelsey! I told you to stop eating glowsticks!" He went on to laugh at his own joke.
"HOW can you be SO calm about THIS?!" I shrieked.
He shrugged, "Because," He began. "They left this."
He tossed me a disk, in a clear case.
