What Happened to Sarai Dawngrove?
Sarai Dawngrove may seem sweet, calm, and elegant at first, but she hides a dark secret that even she doesn't know about. Her touch is deadly, she doesn't know why. She fell asleep to find that when she woke up, she wasn't where she fell asleep and her appearence has changed. In time she finds a boy, who was very shy and kind in nature. "Mother!" Sarai called running through the door of her home. Her long blonde hair blowing through the wind. She looked truly beautiful.
"Sarai darling!" her mother called, "How was first day at school?"
"Truly wonderful!" Sarai said smiling with her blue eyes sparking with the reflection of the sun.
"Glad to hear that," her mother said. Sarai walked into her room and walked out onto the balcony. Her favorite tree's leaves fluttered in the wind. She touched its branches, but the branch broke off and disinagrated. She stared in disbelief.
"W-what happened to my hands?" she stuttered. She ran into her room and sat on her bed.
"It's probably just a coinsidence, it's nothing." She fell asleep and woke up the next morning and went to school. She ran up to her best friend, Daniel, and touched his shoulder to get his attention.
"Why, hello Sarai," he said, "good morning."
"Good morning!" Sarai said smiling.
"It's lovely out today isn't it?"
"Yes, it's quite beautiful."
"Sarai, are you busy after school?"
Sarai stood shocked. She had a huge crush on Daniel since the third grade. She was in eleventh grade and he finally asked her out! She didn't hesitate, but she said in a very calm manner,
"No. Why?"
He looked at her and said blushing, "Well, there was this couple's drive in movie today, and uh..."
"Yes! I'll go with you!"
"Really!? Okay! I'll see you tonight I'll pick you up!"
After school Sarai ran home and decided what she should wear. She decided on a black dress with white tights and black shoes. She wore a crimson headband and some makeup.
She waited and waited. Daniel never came.
