School For Popples
Of course you remember the Popples Toys of the 80's, do you? Now, they're back in a story about their adventures in elementary school!
Chapter 1
The Book Report
Today is going to be a fun day, KissyPopp thought. First, I wear my special clothes to school for my book report, then I begin my History of Music project, we’re making cartoon standees in Art class, I get to run the book fair during my lunch break, and after all this, we’re going to see Lion King 3D! Yaaaaaaaaay! She then ran around the room, jumping in the air with delight. “And I heard you ate all the cheese biscuits for breakfast”, said SmilePopp with a confused look on her face. “I did NOT! I gave them to the other Popples who came here for breakfast today!” said KissyPopp. And then, the school bus came in the middle of her argument with SmilePopp. Then, they all hopped on the bus. On the way there, Putter said “I hope I can put you in after school time out!” He was part of the group called the Boo Boo Babies, who often told the teachers to punish those who did not follow the rules, in order to make the other Popples who did not join not go to the big event of the week, like the showing of Lion King 3D.
When she arrived at school, the teacher told everyone to take out their notes about the Civil War. During the video that was shown about Abraham Lincoln, she asked a question about a thing she heard HappyPopp see during her showing of the Lion King. “Yes, KissyPopp?” said the teacher. “What if George W. Bush was killed during the Lion King scene where they do the luau, while everybody was laughing at it?” KissyPopp asked, knowing that it was the funniest scene in the movie. She knew “Sockodogoling old mantrap” is not as funny as “Dress in drag and do the hula”, and it may have been reverse in the old days. “Well, what makes you think that?” asked the teacher. “Well, HappyPopp and MonsterPopp said that the whole theater laughed when it came on screen for the duration of the scene, so it would totally be ironic if it did happen”, KissyPopp said. That was stupid, thought KissyPopp. Why did I ask that question, anyway? Maybe it was the fact that I was so excited to do my book report that is coming in 5 minutes
Then, it was time for the book reports.
First came Pancake, who read Holes. “Holes is the story of Stanley Yelnats, who goes to a camp for people who don’t behave. They have to dig and dig holes all day and night, with limited time for breaks. They also have to take short showers, and sleep in dirty beds. I kinda feel sorry for those guys. This book is perfect if you like stories about camps or if you like things like survival guides. I read it just because I saw the movie at a sleepover. I rate this book a 10/10”, she said to the whole class. “I hated that!” said Putter. “I like books with farts in it more!” and after saying this, he pulled out his Feed Me Pumbaa and pulled its tail. The BooBoo Babies cheered once this happened. Her partner, Puffball, had read “Family Under The Bridge”, and the BooBoo Babies did the same thing, but did the fart before their comment, which was “That’s for babies!”.
Next came HappyPopp, who read “Toy Story 3: The Junior Novel”. She told the people about her favorite character, Lotso, and made a Sunnyside Daycare-themed dollhouse to accompany the report. This time, the BooBoo Clan liked the report and said, “We love you, Lotso! You’re our king!”. P.C. did his report next, on The Phantom Tollbooth. The BooBoo Clan then asked, “What did we just watch? One word on this:” and they then pulled Feed Me Pumbaa’s tail for the third time today.
Finally, it was KissyPopp’s turn. Her friends, Party and Pitter-Patty wore Chypre and Coffret, and she wore a Cure Blossom costume. “Desu, desu, desu, desu, desu...” they sang as they stepped back and forth. “HeartCatch Pretty Cure: Fashion Show In Paris is the greatest book for any HeartCatch Pretty Cure fan. It is based on the upcoming movie of the same name that will come out in theaters later this month. Erika Oceanwaters’ mother is hosting a fashion show in Paris. On the way, the girls meet a boy named Oliver, who is actually a werewolf and is controlled by a Desert Apostole asleep for 300 years who is planning to wreck havock in Paris! Quick girls, to the rescue! HeartCatch Pretty: Fashion Show in Paris is the book girls ask for by name. Plus, it comes with a special Miracle Light. HeartCatch Pretty Cure: Fashion Show in Paris has super heroines, cute fairies, sinister villains...” said KissyPopp, stopping for no apparent reason. When she stopped, the background dancers kept dancing. “What’s wrong, KissyPopp?” said the teacher. I better not tell her, she thought. But all of a sudden, she heard gurgling in her tummy, and pressure in her behind. Oh no! I must go potty and I must go NOW! If I don’t, I’ll have an accident! But she continued, and said “super heroines, cute fairies, sinister villains...” She tried to think of something to say, and she felt like she was going to have an accident RIGHT NOW, on the floor, in front of the class, and she thought of tonight’s movie adventure, so all she could say was, “HAKUNA MATATA! Excuse me, potty emergency!” she said running for the classroom’s toilet. “What a good report, KissyPopp, but since we only have 2 minutes left, we’ll do the other student’s reports tomorrow!” said the teacher. 10 seconds after she said that, KissyPopp came out of the bathroom, and she was so happy because she did not have an accident. The BooBoo Babies said, “That was the greatest book report the world has ever seen!” They even filmed the book report and planned to upload it to YouTube.
