In My Hand
just a poem I tossed together.
Chapter 1
In My Hand
In my hand
I hold a man
Oblivious to the fact
That the world still spins
He dreams
golden dreams
Dreams of water and nothing
Dreams of fire and darkness
He slowly melts away when I see him
Back into my hand
But he is still there
In the back of my brain
Nagging
Nagging
Nagging away
I see him once more
And I blow him away
He stands his ground
He wants to stay
The light comes 'round the bend
Helping the wind
Slowly
Ever
So
Slowly
He flies away
To nag
At someone else
Someone
With loss
With Sadness
With hate
I can only hope
They can blow him away too
Before he
Nags his way
Through their head
And destroys them
Most can
Blow him away
But some
Just can't
I ask the wind
Why don't you warn them?
He says
I cannot
And that is all
I ask the light
Why don't you warn them?
He says
I cannot
Just like the wind
I cannot
For they must fight him
On their own.
