CHERUB guy meets Alex Rider
I like Alex Rider, but I hate CHERUB. I wonder what happens when they both meet...
Chapter 1
The Beginning...
His breath formed a cloud in front of his face. He had never been so cold, and so afraid. Up in the freezing Arctic circle, surrounded by glaciers and icebergs with feirce winds whipping his fair hair back and forth was enough to make a grown man cry.
But when he was now hiding from an insane lunatic who was hours away from launching a new, improved version of an atom bomb - except this one was powerful enough to wipe out a COUNTRY, rather than a mere city, which was why MI6 had sent Alex Rider to this desolate wasteland to try and find the pyschopath and bring him back, alive or dead.
"Do you best, but if he doesn't make it, it's not like he'll be missed." Alan Blunt's harsh words swam back to him. Blunt was a cold man at the best of times, but when it came to death he didn't seem to bat an eyelid.
Where is it? Alex thought, gritting his teeth as he lay in the snow. A bomb has to be quite big...
The wind was blowing towards him, and along it he could catch a voice. The words were too distant to make out, but someone was along that direction. All he needed to do was fight the wind.
That was easier said than done. As soon as he got up he could feel the full power of it driving him back. He tried to walk, but as he lifted a foot he toppled over by the sheer force of the blizzard.
He had to crawl. Slowly, achingly slowly, Alex made his way to the place the voice came from. He discovered a small hut huddled against an overhang, the icicles dangling down like daggers. A small, hunched man in a sealskin coat was looking over a small shiny black object shaped like a smooth ball. Alex was surprised by its appearence, having expected a large green rocket with the radioactive symbol on it, but that didn't stop him jumping up, twisting violently and hammering an elbow into the man's skull.
He dropped like a stone and Alex picked up the bomb carefully before starting to walk away. He was quickly tackled to the ground and buried in the snow. He had only stunned the pyscho and that was his great mistake. He realised this as the man produced a machinegun and with a maniac glint in his eye, he walked purposely forwards.
