Chapter 1
Chapter One: The Beginning
There once was a girl named Lillie. She was as beautiful as the morning sun rise. She lived with her mother and father, but they didnt pay much attention to her she learned to read on her own and write and that was her passion. Yet she was only 10 years old. Her best friend was a boy named Edward. He was also only 10 years old they were born two days apart so it was like fate that they would end up best friends. Lillie and Edward were out one day walking around to all the shops saying hello to everyone like they did every morning. Once they got to the end of the road they stopped to look up at the castle Lillie could tell that Edward want to go up the so very badly, but she was way too afraid to even think about it.
"Come on Lillie lets just go up there, just to look PLEASE!!" he said basically jumping up and down.
Lillie looked at him like he was crazy, but she finally gave into him. "Fine Edward lets go."
They both started up the hill to the castle. It took almost an hour to reach the castle doors, but out of no where they heard an extremely loud roar inside the castle. Lillie and Edward both ran screaming back down the hill. Once they reached the bottom of the hill they caught their breath they started to walk back to town.
Edward looked at Lillie wide eyed. "What was that?"
"I have no idea Edward." Lillie said just as wide eyed.
“It sounded like some kind of wild animal Lillie! We need to tell someone about it!” Edward said finally breathing normal again
“We cant Edward I will get in trouble with my parents if they knew I was up there.” Lillie said shaking her head.
They were finally back to town. When Lillie realized she had dropped her book up at the castle.
“Edward I dropped my book up there we have to go get it back!” Lillie said with a scared look on her face.
“Lillie calm down we will get it back tonight. We will just have to sneak out tonight and go back up to the castle.” Edward said almost looking a little excited about it.
Lillie and Edward walked back to Edwards house. Edwards mom Rose came out of the house and gave them both a sandwich and some lemonade. After they were done eating Edward got up and started pacing, he was thinking of how he was going to get out of his house tonight without his mom noticing that he was gone. Lillie didn’t have to worry about that her parents they hardly knew she was even there half the time.
Lillie got an idea all of a sudden, “Edward tell your parents you staying at my house for the night and then we will sneak out and go up to the castle after everyone is asleep.”
Edward’s eyes got wide and said, “Lillie that a great idea!” He ran over and hugged her.
Lillie laughed and said, “Oh I know it’s a good idea, I came up with it.”
Lillie walked the rest of the way home for Edwards house. She had to go home and get everything ready for tonight. Lillie was scared, but excited at the same time, it was all she could think about. She was smiling for ear to ear because she knew that sneaking out was going to be so much fun with Edward, she almost laughed thinking about it.
Once she got home she walk into her bedroom and went over to her closet and pick out the darkest thing that she owned she pick out her black shorts and black t-shirt.
“Lillie! Come down here now!” her mother yelled.
“What now?” Lillie muttered walking into the living room.
“Lillie I need you to go to town and get some things I ordered from the tailor shop.”
Lillie sighed, “Okay mother I will do it right away.” Lillie left through the front door.
