In Chinese astrology, it is believed that five basic elements exist in the universe. These elements are Fire, Wood, Water, Metal and Earth. Each of these elements hold characteristics of a personality that resemble the element themselves. It should be noted that it is possible to be more than one element, but most people have one primary element, that is one that relates to their personality more than the other four.
