Chapter 1

Howl

The murder flashed before her innocent eyes. Blood. Blood was everywhere and was as scarlet as the killer's eyes.

The eyes were full of hatred and longing as if something inside wanted to scream out the horror and pain.

A scream sounded and then all was silent. Just one more scream was all the killer needed and he had it right within his grasp.

Before the scream could slip through his sharp moon lit jaws, he plunged his teeth once more and heard the scream turn to a moan of horrid pain.

The killer dashed out of the cottage and ran through the forest.

Both Red and Granny were dead and the Woodsman was long gone from the scene when the killer took care of him. No one to kill him. No one to save the day for the happily ever after.

The wolf moved on. His fur was as dark as midnight without the moon. His teeth as sharp and white as daggers painted white. The wolf was indeed the killer.

He bounded through the forest at top speed with the taste of blood leaving his tongue and entering his thoughts.

"More." Was all that he thought when he passed the birds singing and the growing pine trees that surrounded him. Nothing could stop the vicious beast from retrieving his prey to fulfill his blood lust.

As he ran he wished for the more simple times when he didn't have to kill. For the times when he had a family. A time for when he had something to live for instead of die for. Just something for him to hold onto until the end.

But there was nothing anymore thanks to the shadow and the whimpering winds. One step into the shadows and one breath of the winds were instantly fatal.

The wolf's family fell to both. Since then, the shadows and winds have grown stronger and merciless.

The wolf moved on. Nothing to see here. Nothing anymore.
