What Price Per Ounce Does The U.S. Treasury Use For Its Gold?

Everyone knows that the U.S. Treasury holds a huge amount of gold. Despite assurances that the gold standard is "obsolete," the Treasury has not sold a single ounce in the open market. Perhaps they're hedging their words.

Unusually, the gold is valued by Treasury at a price per ounce that's an "official" price. It's far, far below the real price of the yellow metal.

What's the U.S. Treasury's "official" price for gold?
