Tori (A Harry Potter fan-fiction) Part 1
I love Harry Potter and Decided to make a fan-fiction of it. This story follows an American witch named Victoria and her younger sister Dana. They just got to London and are desperately trying to fit in at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This story takes place during Ginny's sixth year, while Harry, Hermione, and Ron are out trying to defeat Voldemort. I worked hard on this, and I hope you enjoy.
Harry Potter was created by J.K.Rowling
Chapter 1
The Hogwarts Express
"Tori Tori Tori!" I wake up to to my younger sister, Dana, shouting in my ear. "Tori, wake up! C'mon!" I take the risk of listening to her and sit up.
"What could it possibly be?" I ask her. The hotel room looks nice. The curtains are open and the light is spilling in to the room. I glance outside and see Big Ben. The shock of London still hasn't set in on me yet.
"It's ten o'clock!" She shouts at me. The early morning shock set in on me. Didn't the letter say the train leaves at eleven? I force myself out of the nice, cozy bed, and get dressed in a rush. I sloppily throw all of my clothes and books into my suitcase and Dana does the same. By the time we are done, the rooms looks a mess, but isn't that what the maids are for?
Before we leave, I look at the clock again. Ten twenty-four. Dana and I run downstairs into the lobby, completely forgetting about checking out. As we run out into the London streets, i call over a taxi. I tell the man to take us to the Kings cross Station. He happily obeys.
During the drive to the station, I continuously check my watch. When we get to the station, I pull the letter out of my jacket pocket. "What platform do we have to go to?" asks Dana.
"Um, it says platform nine and three-quarters." I reply. I have never heard of any such thing as a platform nine and three-quarters, but England was proving to be a lot different than America. We search through all the platform numbers, trying to find the one we so desperately need. After looking without success, I check my watch. Ten forty-two. We're running out of time.
I decide to go to the front of the ticket line and ask the lady if she knows where platform nine and three-quarters is located. She said she had no time for our childish pranks, shooed us away, and when we refused to leave, threatened to call security on us. That sure got rid of us. After that incident, we decide that our best bet would be to just wait around platform nine and ask anyone we can find about it. Not before long, two girls show up around the barrier between platforms nine and ten.
They seem to be my age. There is a girl with long red hair, and another girl with long blonde hair wearing... um... a lion hat? I decide to walk around them and listen to what they are saying. I walk outside of them, trying to blend into the crowd of people trying to get to their trains, and not trying to seem like an eavesdropper. Even if i am technically being one.
"Then make another one Luna! We can't be late for Hogwarts! Snape'll kill us!" shouts the red head.
"Yes, I never did like Professor Snape. But that bottle cap necklas was very special to me. It was the one i was wearing on the day that I happened to meet Harry." replies the blonde one, who was apparently named Luna.
Hogwarts. Isn't that the name of the express? I check my watch. Ten fifty-four. No time for arguing. I run up to the two girls with Dana. "Um, hello. Excuse me, but I was wondering if you know the way to get to platform nine and three-quarters?"
I prepare for them to laugh at me, but the one named Luna said, "Oh that's quite easy. You just go through the barrier." I stare at her. The barrier? Is she serious?
"Um, the barrier?"
This time it was the red heads turn. "Yes you heard her correctly. I take it you're trying to get to the Hogwarts express?" I nodded. "Well then you just run through the barrier. Luna, why don't you go first?" The blondie nodded.
"Oh, and if you happen to see a bottle cap necklas, please tell me." Luna says.
"Okay?" And with that, she ran with her luggage into the barrier.
"My name's Ginny by the way." said the red head. " I take it your sister's starting her first year?"
"Um, well, yes. Er, well, we both are."
Ginny stared at me increduously. "Um, why are you starting now? Are you a transfer student?"
"Well, kind of, well, I mean, we never went to another Hogwarts of anything, but we're from America."
"Well, that was easy to guess with the accent. But that doesn't explain why you're starting now. When did you get the letter?"
"Last year. Why?"
"Well, I suppose I'll explain to you on the train. If we wait any longer then we'll be late. Here, you go first. Just stand over there, get a running start, and go."
I decide to trust this Ginny girl. After all, didn't the other one just do the same? I stand at the other barrier, holding Dana's hand. "Ready?" I ask her. She nods. And with that, I close my eyes, and start running, with Dana dragging behind me, just waiting to hit the wall.
"What could it possibly be?" I ask her. The hotel room looks nice. The curtains are open and the light is spilling in to the room. I glance outside and see Big Ben. The shock of London still hasn't set in on me yet.
