-WARNING- THE FOLLOWING IS A LATE NIGHT RANT I DID, AND IS ABOUT RELIGION. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO, DON'T READ. IF YOU READ PLEASE COMMENT.
Okay, so first of all, let's give a little back story?
I was "born catholic". As in, christened Catholic, and "raised the catholic way."
Bleugh.
But I grew up under a Christian religion, and was Christian until I was 11, when I started looking in to Paganism. I didn't admit to being Wiccan-Pagan until I was 12, and that lasted, like, a year or so. Then I decided that religion is bullshít, and I'm now Atheist. THAT DOESN'T MAKE ME A BAD PERSON.
I enjoy taking part in religious discussions, but I don't slam anyone. I give honest opinions and facts, like back up with Darwin's theory of evolution, and my reasons the Bible is completely illogical.
Yet DAMN, Christians, you scary!! D:
I read so many comments that were like, "God is real. Jesus is real. They are everything. Jesus loves you." I don't want Jesus to love me!! I don't want some imaginary beareded dude to watch me while I shower!!!!!
And then a lot were also like, "OMG stupid atheists, I hate you if you don't believe in God omg don't send me a friend request if you don't believe in god and don't talk to me omg leave me alone!!" Like, seriously? You hate on me because I don't want to attend a tea party with your imaginary friends? That's so CHILDISH, discriminating because I don't share your beliefs.
And then a couple people were all like, "OMG how can you not believe in God???? HE'S REAL!! Do you seriously think we evolved from stupid monkeys??!!!" Um, yes. Evolution is far more proven than the Bible.
I see a lot fo Christian girls who say Jesus loves us all, but have they READ the Bible? Women are seen as quite inferior.
And I laughed my áss off at the ones who were all like, "Judgement day is coming and all you atheists will go to hell." Lol, didn't the world, like, end twice this year? I don't see Jesus anywhere.
ALSO, soooo many people are seen as inferior in the bible! There are SO many discriminations!!!!
When I was little, the thought of burning in fire forever TERRIFIED me. Like if I didn't follow instructions in a book, I'd go to HELL? Now I think it's funny. Some people live their whole life in fear, because of "commandments"?! And what the hell is with the word "commandments"?! It sounds like a freaking cult or something, which I guess it is.

When I started dating someone (yes, a girl) and told my friends, they were all happy for us, and one of them said, "I can't take this right now."

We thought she meant it like she thought we were joking, because she wasn't sure when we told her, mainly because we kept cracking up.
Then I find out she's told another one of my friends that she doesn't know how to act around us, because she's Christian and we're against her religion. I was like, wow, thanks, "friend". I don't know how to act around someone being so intollerable.

We had a question a while ago in an assignment at school (third grade) that asked "How many animals did Noah have on his ark?"
At that stage, I didn't believe in anything (I had an Atheist year as a child, too, before my mother put me in Bible study, GO ME!!)
So I wrote, "None, because there was never an ark."
I got in trouble for this, my teachers telling me that it was wrong to think this way.
Why? It's true.
"And Jesus said unto them ... , "If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to younder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you."
But Jesus, I don't WANT to have faith in a mustard seed. I have faith that I can control my own actions, and don't need a goddamned book to tell me to do so.

Where is "GOD" when we're at our worst? Where is he when we're crying, screaming for salvation? Sitting up there on his áss and drinking a nice brandy? Watching over OTHER people? I thought he was "all knowing, all seeing"? DAFUQ, BRO?! o.O
Another thing I noticed was that a lot of the religious people (i'm not discriminating, just an observation) that argue with me are quite illiterate. "jesus luvs u lyk so muchh omg hes go0d fr u i prumos." Please, study proper English instead of the bible for a change. And if you're gonna argue, have some arguments prepared. Have relevant facts to back you up!!

I think his theory of evolution is incredibly real, and is more real than a man living in the sky and sending us all to live in the clouds.

I think that people should be responsible for their own actions. You were saying that don't discriminate however you're opinion is clearly and completely against Christians.
AND You said that you can have your religion but don't convert or discriminate me however you seem angry/disappointed at your friend for being 'weirded out' or 'just not able to handle it' for you being bisexual. Yes, that is true, but I was talking to Caitlin and she said the way she said it was..well it was hurtful. And I don't discriminate. I don't aprove of the religion of Christianity, but I'm not gonna stop being someone's friend because they're Christian. I don't discriminate the people, I just think that the religion is kind of petty, as are the people who try to force it on me. She does discriminate AND has tried on numerous occasions to convince me of "God."

I grew up in a Presbyterian church. Both of my parents are devout Christians. I'm not. I'm not entirely sure what I am, to be honest. I still believe in God, but I'm just confused. I agree with some of your statements, but not all of them. It's just hard to break what you grew up believing. (By the way, the penìs analogy made me laugh. ^.^)

I believe in many things, and don't believe in many things. Like I don't believe in God, love at first sight, or miracles. But I do believe in good sense, saving yourself, magyck and salvation. :)
I believe that God is real, miracles, and most of the things in the Bible. I don't, however, get why we should worship God. He seems like a giant puppet master or something. But I don't have a problem at all with homosexuals. I actually think homosexual couples are really cute. ^.^

I honestly agree wiht you on most of this. I question everything, although I do beileve God exsists. But where was He when I needed Him? When I was about to kill myself? When I needed someone, something, anything? I think he's just watching us all from up there like some sick puppet master/TV watcher, who wants us to worship him. He's probably be addicted to soap operas if he lived on Earth. If I lived my life by a few words in a book, I'd be pretty damn boring. So thank you for writing that. :)

That's how just about every religion in the world got started. And just wondering for any Christians who know Christian-y things, what is the difference between and angel and an archangel? At first I thought angels were girls and archangels were boys, but I don't think that's right.

Im kinda split like I believe in him, and I believe everyone should be equal why are gays put down somuch because "god doesnt love them". Its like god "created" us so espect one and other. And I so agree when youre shopping, I went to a local mall with my sister and her friend and they were like full fimlming us for their show like, here take this pamphlet do you go to church blah blah blah, its like Im having a nice day, please leave me be! I am jewish and I totally see where your coming from people sometimes say to me "OMG you don't belive in jeasus,whats wrong with you".Its just like what the crap people that is so stupid to say that about people who are different!I personally know some atheist(sorry if I spelled it wrong) and the girl I know is one of the coolest awesomest smartest people I know and I don't thinks it right of people to say that stuff.
