Chapter 1
Story
“Jijo! Jijo!” Rukia called after me as I walked down the street, trying to get home.
“Yeah Rukia?” I asked, turning in her direction.
“Will you come to my party tonight at seven?” Rukia asked me with a smile gesturing in my direction.
“Who’ll be there?” I asked, turning my whole body towards her, my expression staying the same.
“Oh well, Me, Renji, Bayakuya, Ichigo…” Rukia was about to go on but I turned around and began to walk away.
“Hey, Jijo, where are you going?!” Rukia asked, shouting after me.
“I’m sorry Rukia, but I can’t go.” I said simply, no feelings in my expression shone, but inside, I was full of hurt.
“But…why not?” Rukia asked, sounding alarmed.
“I…I-I-I there’s…” I started calmly but my feelings were beginning to spill out at what I wanted but couldn’t say. I clenched my fists and began to dash to my house.
“Wait! Jijo! Wait!” Rukia called after me, trying to keep up but her gigai’s body wasn’t one for athletic capabilities, so I easily ran a mile in front of her in the next two minutes.
When I finally appeared at my house, I was about to open the door when I heard a calm and relaxing voice behind me.
“Jijo, is there something wrong with one of the guests being there?” Ichigo Kurosaki questioned, walking up to me. When he was at my back her put his hand softly on mine witch was carefully griping the doorknob. His other was placed on the door near the left to my head.
“I’d rather not answer that, Ichigo.” I answered, not cold but actually with nothing to hold me back from saying that. I turn my hand on the doorknob to open it, but my hand was stopped by Ichigo’s hand placed on mine to tighten, making me stop turning.
“Is it me? Am I the reason you won’t go?” Ichigo’s tone had power and a little sadness in between.
Silence engulfed us as I thought of how to answer, so I did the one thing I could.
Tell the truth.
“Ichigo…I just want you happy.” I answered after a silent minute. But I gave Ichigo no time to react, for I slipped away by jumping and running before he could even look up.
That afternoon, around seven o’clock, I was on the coach, my two kids were asleep so I rested with my arm over my eyes.
My voice message box played, me hearing Orihime’s voice. “Hey, Jijo. The party is going to start soon so you should get going now, please call me back if you need any assistance getting there, okay? Bye Jijo.”
I sighed a little at the reminder of the party by my friend. I really was trying to forget about it, by even taking care of my two babies for six hours strait.
I stayed in that position on the couch for about half an hour until the door slamming open making me jump up. “Jijo, you’re coming with me!”
That was my team mate, Renji, at my door…well where my door used to be.
“Renji, you do realize I will have to have you pay for the repairs of my n-“ I hadn’t gotten a chance to finish because Renji lifted my over his shoulder, ran out the door with me over his shoulder. “Woo! I got her!”
“Renji, what the hell is wrong with you this time?!”
“Nothing was wrong with me in the first place!”
“Put me down you freak of nature!”
“You’re going to the party one way or another.”
“Dude, if you put me down at the party, I could very easily just jump out a window.”
“Just do one game then you can go home!”
“Fine…Pineapple!”
“Sunshine!”
We bickered with each other all the way to Rukia’s house.
Renji set me down on the couch in between Orihime and Rukia. “Glad you could make it, Jijo!” Rukia said happily.
“Rukia…can I just do one game then go home?” I asked her while crossing my arms and closing my eyes with little annoyance.
“Sure! The first game will be interesting!” Rukia exclaimed to me while smiling brighter.
“What game is it?” I asked, opening my eyes to her side of the couch.
“Seven minutes in heaven!” Orihime followed along by holding out a hat to me.
I gave the hat a look of terror-I really hated kissing games- before plucking my hand inside and quickly pulled out a slip of paper to get this over with.
“Aw…it’s baby breath blue.” I said with a light smile, it reminded me of my son, Kyou. He loved this color; he always looked at the color and smiled without his teeth.
“Ichigo, you’re up!” Rukia exclaimed to the group. My look of aw changed to a look of horror in a slip second.
Ichigo arose from the group and took his time to get to the closet.
I gulped lightly and stood, keeping my balance and heading towards the door as well.
Ichigo looked towards me and smiled lightly as he opened the door to allow me to enter first.
“Thank you, Ichigo.” I said in a calm voice but it was cracked with fear.
I started my pace a bit faster than before this time entering the closet. I stopped just in time to not have gotten bashed into the wall of the closet.
I turned around and lowered to the ground. When I closed my eyes, I hadn’t expected to have them flash open to a rather heavy body falling onto mine with a blinding speed.
“Renji, you idiot!” Ichigo yelled from his spot on my lap, turning his head towards the door were Renji stood, only to have me guess that Renji pushed Ichigo onto me, for his wide, mischievous, grin.
“Have fun you two!” Renji’s smile was hardly reassuring. He closed the door and I sigh a long sigh.
I remember Ichigo was still on my lap and his head was facing towards the door still. I blushed madly, a very dark color of red.
Ichigo must have remembered his position, too, as he blushed very dark but I couldn’t see for his head was still turned away from mine.
He moved his head to face mine but only to look strait into my breasts, making him blush even darker, along with the exception of me blushing more as well.
“I’m sorry, Jijo.” Ichigo cried urgently as sat up so we came face to face.
I gulped a bit and my blush was like a lantern in the dark. “I-its o-oka-okay I-Ichigo.”
“Are you okay? Did I hurt you or something?” Ichigo’s voice echoed in the closet as he was checking just in case.
“I’m all-alright…really.” I stuttered my sentence and bit my lip. I really did have a giant crush on Ichigo, but I believed he loved Rukia, and since Rukia was my best friend, I wanted to stay out of his life so he could go for her. What I said earlier about wanting to have him be happy was true, with Rukia, even if it was without me. I owed him that much, for saving my two children when they were going to die along with me in a hallow attack.
Ichigo want to stand and walk to a corner as I just sat in my chosen position. The air flow moved as he sat on the ground to face me, but I didn’t flinch or anything to let him know that I knew he was looking at me.
“Jijo…why do you want me to be happy?” Ichigo asked me after half a minute of silence.
“I owe you happiness, Ichigo. You saved me and my children from that hallow, I owe you something that you will be grateful for.” I answered with an honest tone, leaning my head down a bit in a sulk as I moved my knees high to come closer to my forehead.
“What do you think makes me happy?” Ichigo asked me with seriousness, he narrowed his eyes a bit.
“Rukia. You clearly love Rukia. I’m trying to avoid you so you could go for her, so I won’t get in the way. I’m trying my hardest to stay out of your life. So you can be happy.” I answered with a tear trickling down my cheek.
“Jijo…that makes me devastated. Having you avoiding me is torture, you not talking to me is horror. You saying this are devastating. You’re hurting me Jijo.” Ichigo’s voice was full of fury and power, and in the middle of it all, he dashed in front of me, taking my shoulders in a deep grasp and pressuring my back to the wall, surprising me by having me gasp.
“Ichigo, let g-.” “No!” Ichigo interrupted me with so much power in his voice, along with determination. My eyes widen at his tone.
“You aren’t going anywhere away from me Jijo. Not now, not ever! I…I love you Jijo!” Ichigo practically yelled his confession.
My eyes are as big as saucers. He shared my feelings. My feelings of devastation for loving someone so much that it hurts.
Tears were streaming down Ichigo’s face. Ichigo, the brave soul reaper, was crying over someone like me.
“Ichigo.” I said solemnly, moving my hands comfortlly around his face that was soaked in salty tears. “You’re crying. Can I…help?” I asked with nervousness.
“Please.” Ichigo answered me, looking up at me.
I carefully leaned down to his face and began to kiss the tears away. Sweet or sour, I kept going.
When I was finished with the tear shower clean up, I moved to his forehead, and kissed it with gentle, crisp lips.
I dared my head to stay in place above Ichigo’s head with my hands stroking his back saying “Its okay, I’m here.”
Ichigo’s arms flung around my back in a very deep hug. “You’re an amazing mother, Jijo.”
I smiled and kissed his forehead again, but it didn’t stop there. I moved down his face, down his nose first and when I circled his lips, I kissed a little stronger that all my others.
Ichigo kissed me back with equal strength. One of his hands slid carefully to the back of my neck and his other slid down to my waist.
My one hands just moved to his neck, deepening the kiss lovingly.
He moved his head back, having my head follow, but since I was much shorter than him, I had to stand, still having his hands on my waist and my neck, my hands still around his neck.
Ichigo carefully led my waist to the ground, having me sit with us still kissing. My back was once again against the wall, but this time, his head was carefully set on my lap.
About thirty seconds later, we both broke the kiss for breath, but calmly. We stared at each other. “I love you, Ichigo Kurosaki.” I said in an angel like voice.
“I’m happy. Very, very happy Jijo.” Ichigo replied with a large smile, and began to stroke my hair in between his fingers.
“Times up!” Rukia’s sing song voice announced threw the door and half a moment later, she flung the door open to show Ichigo laying on the ground with me up against the wall and his head in my lap, our faces close together.
“Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!” All of the females awed at our position.
I blushed a little and began to sit up as Ichigo sat up as well, having his head lift from my lap.
I stood at the door as I turned to Ichigo walking towards me. He entwined his fingers in between mine as he led me to his spot.
He sat me down on his lap and looked like if any one tried to come near me, he wouldn’t give them mercy.
He set his head carefully to my neck and began to kiss, lick and bit finally to leave me a mark, claiming me as his.
“Jijo?” Ichigo asked me, already knowing I knew the question.
“Forever.” I answered with absolutely no hesitation.
“Yeah Rukia?” I asked, turning in her direction.
“Will you come to my party tonight at seven?” Rukia asked me with a smile gesturing in my direction.
“Who’ll be there?” I asked, turning my whole body towards her, my expression staying the same.
