.13 Reasons Why Book Review*
A new thing I am starting
Chapter 1
13 Reasons Why
'13 Reasons Why' is a book by Jay Asher. It is a Realistic Fiction.
This book is about Clay Jensen, the main character in the book.Clay finds a small, brown paper sack outside of his house oneday. The sack is full of cassette tapes. The first tape has a 1 painted on one side and a 2 painted on the other. This rule goes on for the other six cassette tapes, only with different numbers. It goes all the way to 13.Upon listening to the tapes, Clay realizes that the person talking is Hannah Baker, a girl who commited suicide. On the tapes, Hannah tells about the 13 main reasons why she killed herself. She also includes a map that has red stars on it where you can visit the places. If you recieved the tapes, you are on the list and you must pass it on to the person ahead of you.Clay finds out some dark secrets aboutt some of his closest friends and even a teacher.
This book is amazing!On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate it a 8.The book is amazing, yet it loses some points because of two reasons;
1) It starts getting a bit to boring in the middle.
2) I love detail, but this book as a bit too much detail.
Now, if you love a mystery book, I would say that you need to read this book.It has some adult content and language, so if you can't read that, don't real this book.

I love that book! good review!
Me too!Thanks~
I loved it tooo!!! :D
I didn't like that book. I don't care if that girl has a million reasons why, suicide is stupid. Plus, just giving these people- even the teacher, who couldn't help the girl because she didn't even give him any real information- these tapes and not even letting them defend themselves or say anything back was a cruel and cowardly thing to do.
Are you kiding me?Have you ever felt on the edge of breaking down?I doubt you have. It's horrible.I agree with you that suicide is not the answer, but you must realize that this girl was different; she could see past peoples acts, their masks.Suicide is not a cowardly thing to do; it is giving up, losing hope. And trust me, if you had those things that the people did to her, you would want to get back at them.So please, don't dish on suicide and people who commited it; you will NEVER understand.
Don't tell me I will NEVER understand. You think I've never been on the edge of breaking down?! You think I've never wanted it all to end, to just say goodbye and runaway and be done with it? You don't know me. You never will. Don't tell me I won't understand. Suicide is horrible- I would NEVER do that to my family, I would never make them deal with me killing myself, no matter how hard life is, no matter who hurts me. Don't tell me I don't understand.
Sigh I am very sorry, though I still don't agree with you.Though, everyone will have their opinons.Being someone who has lost a close family member to suicide, I view it with a...oh, how do I put this...more...hmm...I have no clue how to tell you.I get angry when people say it was a cowardly thing to do.
I'm sorry, I didn't realize someone in your family committed suicide. I didn't mean the suicide was a cowardly thing to do- I mean that sending all of the people the records was cowardly. I was mostly mad about her sending it to her teacher, though, because he didn't do anything wrong, she just wouldn't let him help her.
I know how suicide affects family members, that's why I feel so awful when I hear about suicide. I'm really sorry about your relative.
It's fine, it's fine.Thank you though.
I hope you're not mad at me. I really am sorry.
Of course not! There's no reason for you to be sorry, so don't.
