    Would you all please stop posting this junk? If you don't want to be associated with a bad stereotype, don't live down to them!!! If someone is going to think you are stupid because you're blonde and they don't take the time to find out otherwise, then they've lost out on knowing a fabulous person, haven't they?? Posting junk like this on Quibblo doesn't change anything, certainly doesn't change the opinions of those who think that of all people.

    junk?! is no junk! its just a great repost that i totaly like, about something thats important to me! i don't expect it to change anything but i still think its something most people should know. there is much hatered out there because of people blameing a stereotype for there problems. if u hate somebody don't blame everybopdy that is simmilar or a like in some way!

    Sometimes Stereotypes are good things! It can give you an idea of what the person is like before you meet them--if someone is dressed in stereotypical gang clothes, the last thing you want is to be nearby them. That 'stereotype' gives you an immediate response to judge if the situation can become dangerous.
    What you say, do, and wear tells the world what you are. If you don't like the name we give you, YOU change, rather than telling us to 'understand' and 'accept' you.

    Now, those last sentences in this comment obviously don't apply to people who are living a good stereotype. You're a friendly, do-good Christian, you know what? If people don't like you, then they have to deal with it. Because you are being the best you can be and doing your part. That's just one example.

    have to change yourself, rather than yelling about how "bad" stereotypes are, and how we just need to change our perspectives on things and accept you. Imitating someone who is emotionally depressed, often harms themselves and part of a group that advocates suicide as a viable way out of things, then that's what we all think you are. You aren't that? Fine, all you have to do is change your clothes, think slightly differently, pull your hair back--a whole host of things you can do.

    Look, that's not what I'm saying. You change yourself if you don't like that everybody associates you with a bad crowd--you don't like being associated with gangs, or labeled a cutter because of your appearance, then you can change how you act and react to those assumptions, AND you can change your clothes so that people aren't afraid or worried for you. If it really bugs you that much.

    I wear skirts and long dress pants, and jeans that don't cut off my circulation. I often wear really amazing pretty things I've found in second-hand stores, and do all sorts of fun colours with my makeup. I stand out. I'm not afraid to be the only one of my sort in a crowd. I'm NOT saying that you shouldn't, not at all--that's why I'm so against dressing Emo/Goth. You want to be different, or stand out and be yourself, wear all yellow or something!!

    Stereotypes are a very hurtful thing, and I get slammed with them a lot. Using stereotypes to find out about people is convinient, but amoral and socially unacceptable. If you NEED to pin labels on people, it's NOT okay to say them out loud. I'm not going to repost because I'm lazy, but at least somebody is bringing light to the subject.
