Okay so I dropped my cellular in a tub of water. T.T and my mum told me to put it in a bag of rice for now so it can dry out. So here's my question: is she serious or just playing a mean joke on me?

It might sound a little weird but rice is supposed to soak water out you should take the battery out put out a layer of rice and put your phone in and your battery!
