Land of Dreams (Poem)
Just a little poem I wrote when I was feeling down :) It's about that perfect place in your dreams that you just wish was real in times of hardship...
As I lay me down to sleep,
I travel to a place where all are free.
Unicorns dash in moonlit ways,
I pray that one day
Reality may be as sweet.
The song of dove tweets
Allows me to fly
To a haven where no one can cry.
Sparkling trails play and dance
Their movements send me to a perfect trance.
A storm of shining rain,
To wash away my feeling of shame.
Lunar light breaks through the cloud,
Here comes a silver dragon mighty and proud.
On his shimmering back I ride
and all my fright
melts to stardust.
For in the beautiful creature is my trust.
Then I awaken and continue to believe
In the Land of Dreams.
