The Day I Found Out My Dearest Daddy was Ares (Kate's Story)

Uh Oh. This is not good. Oh! Hi! My name is Kate and I go to Bruster's Academy For Troubled Kids. I am not troubled. Well... O.k. I am sorta troubled, but I swear it isn't my fault.I only have A.D.D. and dyslexia! Whenever I get mad, bad things happen. I get mad at different points in time, and then everything goes so fast. Usually somethings gets caught on fire or I find the person or thing I was mad on the floor broken and bleeding. Yeah.
So this time it happened because of Mr.Gibson. I really didn't mean to, I mean he's not my favorite teacher,but he started it! So I was sitting in math class listening intently-HA! Who am I kidding?? Who listens in math class? Anyway, so I was doodling C.J's name over and over again in my notebook- you don't know who C.J is? Wow, you must live under a rock! C.J. is the handsomest, dreamiest, sweetest most w- sorry, got carried away, basically- most popular guy in school. Anyway, there I was, minding my own business and then Mr.Gibson practically screams- "KATE! WHAT IS THE ANSWER!" And I reply innocently, "Mr.Gibson I am so sorry but what is the question again?" Then he screams again, "KATE! I HAVE ASKED 3 TIMES ALREADY! WHAT IS THE ANSWER???" Then I reply not so innocently, "I AM SORRY, BUT I CAN'T ANSWER THE QUESTION BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW THE ANSWER!!!" Well, ok that part obviously I could've been a little sweeter but, can you blame me? My skin gets hot and red as a beet and then I start shaking, and.... Sorry I'm rambling. Anyway then Mr.Gibson starts to shake too and then he says quietly, "Kate, please see me in my 'office.' Did you catch the marks around the word 'office?' That's because it isn't an office it's an old, smelly janitors closet with two lawn chairs and a T.V. dinner tray. Ugh. It smelled like decaying lama spit in there. I was really worried. Why? Because kids have gone into Mr.Gibson's office and NEVER returned. Don't believe me? Ask little Sally May. Oh wait, you can't because she NEVER returned from Mr.Gibson's office. He went in and said, "Close the door behind you." I gulped. His back was to me, and I ran through the self-defense techniques I knew. The obvious kick to the groin, finger hooked through the eye socket in hopes of popping the eye ball out.... Crap! Why didn't I take karate with my older sister? And that is when I thought of it. I thought of the last thing my father gave to me before he left. Pepper spray. And this wasn't your run of the mill spray from Wal-Mart. Oh no, this was fo̱tiá spréi. Translation? Fire spray. From Greece. Oh yeah. I held it in my sack when suddenly Mr.Gibson turned... as a monster? He had the fur,face, horns, and, ugh, stench of a bull but the body of a human. A Minotaur? Crap! Crap! I've read about these! They sure are tough to kill. Wow, didn't know I was so violent. Anyway, I remembered the fo̱tiá spréi and pulled it from my bag. he charged and I spritzed. The room suddenly turned into a battle field. And I was wearing... Greek armor? What the beep? What happened to my black jeans, white lace tank top, and leather jacket? (don't judge, it was my dad's) Anyway, I then ran to a nearby tree and started climbing until I wast just above him. I jumped down and shouted Oi Élli̱nes tha epo̱feli̱thoún! What did I just say???? I had wondered. Then kicked the beast's snout and spritzed with all my might and the monster screamed and..... disintegrated? Oh crap! The fo̱tiá spréi caught on the grass! It's spreading! Uh Oh. That isn't good. The field was becoming a janitors closet again. Crap! The fire is in the building! Time to run! Oh well. There goes another boarding school. sighs
