Christmas (and other Holidays) Contests!

I did several contests for Halloween, and I had intended to get the Story contest started at Thanksgiving to give everyone more time to write BUT I completely forgot in the bustle of the holiday. :((

But here it is anyway, the first day of December (almost left it late again!!).

ALL ENTRANTS: WHEN YOU POST, PLEASE TELL ME ALL CONTESTS YOU ARE ENTERING, AND A LINK TO YOUR STORY (if you are doing one). THANK YOU!

SO there is a reason why I added other Holidays to the title, and it is not because I find Christmas offensive. XD I just want you to write a story, theme your profile, etc., for Yule, the New Year, the Solstice, or any other holiday that falls in the Winter time! And have fun doing it too!

Holiday Story Contest
Start writing today!
Deadline to finish stories will be 2nd January.

Stories can be Oneshots (one 'chapter' here on Quibblo, but that means the entire story is contained therein, the entire plot, the climax of the story if there is one, and an ending),
Chapter length stories (of any length. Can be Two chapters, or as many as a hundred and beyond. As long as it is completed!),
and Poems/Songs/etc. having to do with one or more of the Winter Holidays.

Again, I do NOT judge based on popularity ratings, but how well the story itself is written. Are you happy with the story? Do you like what themes you pull through the tale? Is it written well? Are the characters well-written? That kind of thing. But just enjoy yourselves!

As with Halloween, if any of you have a good idea for prizes, that would be brilliant, and I'll listen to any suggestions made.

Also like Halloween, I will have three winners for each contest I'm doing! :D

Holiday Profile Picture Contest

Three winning places. Again, please leave photos up until 2nd January! I had a problem last contest, where people had taken down their photos before I could judge them all, and very few put them back up so I could judge. :S

The Pictures can be from/for any Winter holiday, from Yule, to New Year's, to Hanukkah, to Kwanzaa, to the Winter Solstice, or other holidays that fall during this season. Anything associated with the holidays or just a Christmas tree/Yule Log works! Please post a comment below to let me to consider your picture! (Same as the profile nickname contest, you can wait until the last week of the contest to post your new picture for judging, JUST BE SURE that your photos ARE STILL UP on 2nd JANUARY!!)

*Holiday Profile Contest *

Theme your profile for the Holidays! Unfortunately, you cannot theme for them all. Pick one holiday and stick to that one for judging. I will consider adding categories to the winning places if I have enough entrants with enough themes of various other holidays rather than just Yule and New Year's. Pick a background, and new colours. If you want, you can add a new profile picture, but that is not a requirement. You can be considered for the Profile Picture Contest too, if you wish. :} Post a comment below to let me know you are entering, and tell me which contest(s) you're going for (e.g.: Holiday Profile Theme Contest and Profile Picture Contest, as well as what holiday you are using). The theme has to be in place for the week of the deadline, but the sooner you get it up so I can check it out, the better.
