Magic and Magic

"...so, you see, that's why my report is better than Carla's." Lulu says as she sits down. I look at her sleepily. Her report was way to long. Looking around, I saw that half of the place was still sleep.
"How was that, Carla Lou,"Lulu asks smirking. She walks away.
"Sintose," I whisper and a vine comes out and trips her.
"You are such a child!" Lulu shouts when she falls. Everyoen starts laughing and she walks out the room, her cheeks flaming.
"This is a magic school. You better learn to defend yourself better," a boy calls out when she slams the door. Sighing, I turn my head to the window as the next kid walks up to the stage. I wondered where Ashton was as I watched the clouds go by, flying free, as if they were taunting me because I couldn't fly with them. I was stuck at a magic boarding school.
"My report is on the..." the boy begins. I put my head down and go to sleep. Due to my arrogant attitude and unthinking actions, I didn't have any friends.

Class is over, so I walk to the cafeteria to get some food. Fish, tacos, pizza...I skim it over until I find the macaroni and cheese. I pay for the lunch and sit down at the table closest to the corner.
"So, you like mac 'n' cheese?" Lulu asks.
"Yea," I say,"And you like that crappy-looking pizza? It looks frozen still."
"I don't like it that much. Nothing else looked good. That mac 'n' cheese barely has any cheese on it." She was right. But I don't eat school lunch. I go back up to the line and get an apple, a bottle of water, and a cookie, then I return to the table. Lulu watches me eat.
"Do you mind?" I ask.
"No," Lulu says back. "Look, do you want a friend? I know where Ashton is."
"Are you becoming my friend because you thought I would react to you say that?"I ask.
"No," she says," I knew you would react and I think we could be good friends. That is if you apologize to me for the incident earlier."
"I will be your friend, but I will not apologize," I tell her, looking straight into her hazel eyes.
"You pass. You can be my friend. I only want friends who know how to stand up for themselves."Lulu says proudly.
"Whatever," I say as I get up and throw my tray away. Lulu comes and gets to my side.
"Let's go," she says, grabbing my hand and leading me down the hallway.
"Where in the world is ya'lls takin' me?" I say and cover my mouth, blushing. I let my accent out.
"So, you do have a secret,"Lulu says laughing. She dbrings me to the abandoned music room. The door opens a crack and Lulu and I peek in. Sure enough, Ashton was there, practicing on his violin. He was playing a weird song, a spell song. A portal opened and Ashton still plays on, not even hearing the ear-piercing sound of the wind.
"Ashton!" I shout, but he can't hear me. I walk into the room, trying to get him to stop. I hold my arms out, and vines shoot out everywhere, rushing to grab the violin. The wind pushes the vines, making them grab Ashton. The violin falls to the floor and Ashton is sent flying into the portal. I run after him and jump.
"Ashton!" I say as we are both falling into the portal.
"Carla!" I hear Lulu say as she jumps in after me along with two other kids. We are all hurdling down, nobody able to stop themselves. The portal closes and we are sealed off from the boarding school and stuck in the never-ending portal.
