Secrets are Darkest in the Light

I stared at my reflection in the shabby orpahnge mirror.Long purply black hair,oddly redish hazel eyes and a yellow cresent moon mark the went around my right eye,high cheek bones,and cherry red bow shaped lips,and of course a already flourishing purple bruise on my cheek.That was just great,I was always getting bullied at the orphange.No that was enought,I was sick of this.I stood up and walked out to the yard where my tourchers stood.

"Hey look guys,if it isn't the little freak Selene,come back for more?",the leader Jace said to me.I rolled my eyes,we had been doing this for 13 years,since we were 3.But this time was different,today was my 16 birthday and i was DONE.

"You know what Jace,I am sick and tired of you pushing me around!",I yelled at him,suddenly all of them stepped back in awe,I looked around me,a deadly aura of purply,black fire glowed around me.I quickly created a fireball and shot it at him,it hit him square in the chest and he passed out.

"Yes,Subject 1's abilitys have shown.",a voice said behind me,I whirled around ready to knock out the person but it was just the orphanage manager."So Selene you have discovered your ability,shadow."

"What do you mean,my ability?",I said mistrustfully glareing at her.

"You are an Other like I am,commenly called witches or warlocks.We can turn into cats along with our abilitys",Ms.Calven said,then she touched my cheek and it felt like my bruise went away."As you can see my ability is Healing"

"Are there others like me?",I asked quietly.

"Yes,5 others your age and in America,at the school you will share the classes with them.",Ms.Calven explaind,"Here is your ticket to the school in Norway,you will get a uniform and be oriented with the others.",she handed me the ticket and I got my meager belongings and then I went to the airport.
