Chapter 1 - Train to Hogwarts
Rose Weasley’s POV

My mom hugged me. “Have fun at Hogwarts, Rosie. We’ll miss you!” She said. I smiled and hugged back. I’d miss her too. She stopped hugging me and ran after my brother, Hugo, who wanted to go too.
My dad looked at me with both pride and worry. “Rosie if you’re not put in Gryffindor, we’ll disown you.” He joked. I laughed at his joke, but secretly feared it was true.
Suddenly, a small, lanky, boy with silvery blond hair ran past us with who must be his father. His father was a very tall man with the same features as his son. “Aha, so that’s little Scorpius Malfoy.” My dad said, rather disrespectfully. I looked back at the boy who was Scorpius and found him looking at me as well. He looked away, and I looked back at dad. “Don’t get too friendly with him, Rosie. Oh and make sure to beat him in all the tests!” He said gleefully. Just then, my mom came back with a sleepy-looking Hugo next to her.
“For goodness’ sakes, Ron! Don’t turn them against each other before they’ve even started school!” She scolded. Of course, I knew why he was telling me this. He, my mom, and Uncle Harry had had problems with Malfoy’s father in the past.
Just then, Uncle Harry, Aunt Ginny, and my 3 cousins; Lily, Albus, and James, came bolting towards us. I waved at them. “Hey!” I called.
“Hey squirt!” James said, ruffling my hair. I groaned. “You always do that!” I grumbled. He laughed. “Well it’s my job to annoy you, young one!”
“James, just because you’re the oldest, doesn’t mean you’re the coolest.” Albus said, chuckling. I laughed too. Albus always agreed with me on things. He’s the only non-annoying guy cousin I’ve got.
“And just because you’re named after Dumbledore-” James started, but Aunt Ginny interrupted. “Enough!” She said, making them be quiet. “Do you two want to end up being late to Hogwarts and having to go in a flying car, like your father and uncle?” She asked. Uncle Harry looked down at the ground, laughing, and my dad cracked up.
James tried to speak without laughing “W-well,” He laughed. “No..” He burst out laughing, along with Albus and Lily. Me and my mom just shook our heads in disapproval, but I was holding back laughter as well.
“Alright, time to go to the train.” My mom said. I was happy to finally go to Hogwarts, but sad that I wouldn’t see my parents till next summer. My dad noticed my mixed feelings and hugged me. “Don’t worry Rosie. You’ll do fine at Hogwarts.” He said.
I looked up at him and smiled a little. “Thanks, dad. I love you, and I’ll miss you!” I said. Then I walked over to mom and Hugo. “Sweetie, we’ll miss you so much..” She said, and hugged me tight. I hugged back. “I’ll miss you all,” I said, looking at mom, dad, and Hugo.
And with that, I picked up my cat, Peeves, and boarded the train, anxious to see Hogwarts for the first time. Little did I know, the moment I set foot on this train, my life would be changed-forever.
