The world of Alice

Alice loved her parents, but most of all loved her little sister, Cynthia. She didn't know why they would want to send her away because of some little thing like seeing the future. She saw it as a gift and couldn't understand why people would try and take it away from her. It was part of her now. Her gift. No one elses. It's not like it hurt her. It's not like she would never be normal. She just wanted to be able to control it.
Alice was packed and ready to leave for the "safe place" her parents had thought to take her to. She didn't want to leave her little sister all alone and had kicked and screamed, but her parents wouldn't listen to her. She was going no matter what she thought.
Cynthia bounded up to Alice and hugged her, burying her little head full of blonde curls into her shoulder.
"Don't leave Alice!" She cried. "What would I do without you?"
Alice looked her little sister in her blue, blue eyes.
"I don't want to leave either, Cynthia, but I don't have a choice. I'll miss you dearly though little Cynthia. I love you."
"I love you too, Alice," Cynthia sighed.
Alice hugged her sister tight and kissed her cheek.
"Bye bye now Cynthia. You take care of mother and father I'll be home before you know it."
Cynthia cried hard and let go of Alice. Alice walked to the carriage and got in and waved to Cynthia trying to hold back the tears that had sprung to her eyes.
"Bye bye Cynthia," she whispered to herself.
