The Magical Mysteries of Hogwarts (Year One)

It was morning, I stayed up looking at the moon all night, it was a very pretty thing. I watched the sun rise and heard the birds awaken. It was to pass the time. My mother and father told me a day like this would come, when all children would get their letters. But I knew they were lying only the specialist children got letters the ones with the unknown powers of wizards. My brother got his and so did my sister. Our family was supposedly the most beautiful 'magical' family alive, I seen it in everyone but myself. I had blue eyes and dark brown hair, a light tan and a decent face, but I was ten... I slid out my door and quietly walked down the steps. I heard humming so I peaked over the corner to see who it was. It was my mum she was baking and very beautiful. I stepped off the last step and coughed so she knew I was there.
"Hello Estelle darling" She said smiling. Dad was probably working at the Ministry Of Magic by now with his good friend Arthur Weasley. My mum let go of what she was doing and kissed me on the forehead.
"How did you sleep?" She asked. I shrugged not wanting to tell her I stayed up most of the night.
"Go wake Palea and Prestan" I nodded and walked down the stairs to my brother and sisters rooms. They were twins but each with a separate personality. I knocked first on Prestans door because he was the nicer one.
"Ian get up" I called. We called him Ian because he hated Prestan. I heard rustling and a light thump, then a groan. I laughed.
"C'mon" I said
"I'm coming I'm coming" He said back. Him and my sister were 3 years older than me making them 13. Prestan opened the door and gave me a light shove.
"Want me to wake up Palea?" He asked.
"Please" I begged.
"Fine" He smiled, no one ever liked to wake up Palea. First he knocked, nothing, then he twisted the doorknob.
"Okay okay I'm up" Palea yelled. Ian gave me a light tap and smiled. He through the door open.
"YOU BETTER BE UP" He yelled laughing. Palea had covers pulled over her head.
"you suck" I heard her whisper. She threw the blanket off of her and got up following me and my brother back upstairs. Me and Ian slid into our chairs waiting to be served while Palea was still slowly walking up the stairs. It was 8:30 now much later than what is usual for us to get up at. Suddenly a dark own with a letter in it's beak was scratching at the window.
"Uh mum theres something at the window" I said. My mother looked up at it and smiled, so did Ian and Palea quickly ran to the kitchen and sat down. There were three letters.
"One for you" My mum said handing it to Prestan "One for you" She said again handing it to Palea. "And of course one for you" She said throwing mine on the table. It was the most magical thing I'd seen since our parents rarely use magic. Ian patted me on the back.
"Welcome to the world of witches"
"And Wizards" Palea finished much more awake then before, they tore there letters open and began to read. I slowly opened mine and pulled it out. I unfolded it and read.

Dear Ms. Rorke,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31.

UNIFORM

1.Three sets of plain work robes (black)
2.One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear
3.One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar)
4.One winter cloak (black, with silver fastenings)
Please note that all pupil's clothes should carry name tags.

1 set glass or crystal phials

Students may also bring and owl OR a cat OR a toad.

"So Estelle what do you want to do today?" My brother asked It was July 23rd and I knew what I wanted to do.
"Mum can we please go to Diagon Alley? Please" I begged. My mother smiled.
"Of course after you eat"
I was over filled with joy Hogwarts! Who would have thought...
